Handy room for the night, good value

Bed wasn't the most comfortable, but was fine for the night

The location - can walk into the village. The quietness. The shower was nice and powerful. Clean towels. The self-service check in (although too many emails sent by property manahement in the lead up to the stay and then at 8am on the day of checkout!) The view.

The bed has seen better days. Really springy and no mattress protector, we didn't sleep very well. 1 pillow each is not sufficient. The hotel is a building site, getting renovated at the moment so communal inside spaces and outdoor spaces were chaos and unusable. The kettle didn't work! Should have said on booking.com that there was a charge for the dog.

I loved the layout of the property and the big bath. We booked a room and another for our teenagers. We were in a double room with a main door and they were across the court yard in a twin , it was brilliant, I would recommend to a family with older family , we all loved our stay

Would have liked more pillows

Was clean and I needed to contact staff we’re able to provide a service and cleaning the room

The bed springs were gone so the bed was hard. Mattress would need to be replaced. Bathroom toilet, not a lot of flushing power

Location

Little or no breakfast. Construction work. Communal room inaccessible !

Price is good

The bedroom door, which opened to the outside, was not secure, a glass panel had been removed and so we couldn't stay there. Anybody could just get in the room. It took a long time for somebody to answer the phone line, which was frustrating. It was late, and we had to find somewhere else to stay at very short notice, which cost us a lot more. We did get a refund but no compensation. The staff we spoke to were sympathetic and friendly, but unable to do anything directly.
