The location in the town of Pictou was very good. Close to grocery, resturants, museums and shops. The daily rate was inexpensive,

I have stayed in this hotel a number of times from 2015-2018. The hotel has certainly become shabby since then, both the inside and out. The room was very dated and had a stale smell. The carpet needed cleaning. The bedspreads looked like they needed cleaning too. The staff who cleaned the rooms were not dressed professionally and often seemed to be cleaning in their pj's. On the exterior there were lots of places with peeling paint, weeds growing in the eavestrough and cigarette butts in the grass near the entrances. Although the price was inexpensive I don't think I would stay there again.

The staff was friendly and the rate certainly reflected the the value for our money, however, our experience at another motel in New Brunswick that charged the same rate was much better (cleaner and quieter) than the Lionstone.

The room was very outdated, the windows and flooring were very old and the room smelled musty. The walls were so thin that we heard the guests in the room beside us whenever they talked. Our stay was not pleasant at all!

Place was ok, bedding was clean, bathroom fixtures clean but walls, baseboards so dusty and dirty. Carpet on floor in room. Bed comforter had stains on underside. Blinds on door missing slats, box spring cover dirty.
