The Lionstone Inn Motel and Cottages

We were initially sent to a room that smelled quite bad with a fridge that didn’t work. We were able to change to a cabin which met our needs and matched the pictures that prompted us to book here. Worked very well for our needs.

Very disappointed that Expedia would have this property as a choice. It smelled, the sheets were stained, not one amenity.

Poor and old property conditions. Bathroom was dirty and old, with mold and dirty curtain.

The motel charged us $10 per child, per night, just keep this in mind when booking!!!! The rooms are poorly taken care of, mold in the bathroom, even the bathroom toilet seat is peeling. The pillows are as flat as pancakes. The staff argued with us that we brought a dog to our room, but we had only brought blankets from home and we have 3 dogs in our household. There were dead squirrels in the front green space of the hotel, which is the only “hang out” space around. The staff were rude and ignorant when asking for extra towels (they only gave us 1 towel even though they knew 4 people would be in the room). Rude again when asked for extra bedding for a fold out couch. There is no soap/shampoo/conditioner or even a box of Kleenex provided in the rooms, just as a heads up to future renters!

40$ charge for two kids. 2 adults, 2 kids in a two double bed room with a pullout couch. Extra charge but had only two towels. Pullout couch bedding was filthy and needed me to ask to change. When cooking originally said kitchenette. There was only a microwave and mini fridge.

Very outdated. The room was super dark and dingy. They put a tub insert over the existing tub but didnt glue the insert to the bottom of the tub, so it clicks when you are standing in it. Smelt damp. Theres small trees and weeds growing in the gutters above the entrance to the rooms. They need a better over haul. Its quite expensive for what your getting!

This hotel is in need of a serious upgrade. The room was dark and looked dirty. The had something in the room that I am guessing was supposed to make the room smell nice but it just seemed like it was disguising a musty smell. We didn't end up staying and found a different motel nearby.

Clean and roomy. Quiet. Enjoyed our stay
