Alenti Sitges Hotel

While at first glance, the hotel looks great. The deeper you dig, the more you find deficiencies when it come to comfort and functionality. When we booked our hotel room, it was advertised as a king room with a hottub on the balcony. It was in fact a room that could either be 2 single beds or converted to 1 king. While I know that this is common in Europe, the beds were on very light weight frames on casters and therefore the entire bed would slide across the floor when you moved. Additionally, the night stands were wall mounted and therefore too far from the bed when configured as a king. Additionally, the room we were given was actually on the ground floor and the hottub was not on the balcony but was instead on a patio. The word balcony had indicated to us that we would be on an upper floor. Finally, we were given a handicap accessible room which in and of itself was not an issue but due to the design of the handicap accessible bathroom, there was not a single surface in the bathroom upon which we could unpack any toiletries for our stay. We had to ask for a luggage rack/stand and a tray from the kitten to be brought into our bathroom so that we had a surface to use. For what is billed as a high-end hotel, I think that all of these misses added up to an experience that was not as we expected.

Great location

Such a great stay! Every single thing was wonderful during my 3-night stay that I returned again the following week. The decor, cleanliness, location, but especially the staff were superb. Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and go out of their way for guests. Really one of the best hotel stays I've had anywhere in Spain.

Stayed here at the Alenti over the carnival and really enjoyed our stay. We were a bit wary at first thinking it would be noisy overnight and yes it was a little but not overwhelmingly so. Atmospheric would be another way of putting it. Rooms were modern and clean. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was pleasant and there was plenty on offer and you only needed to ask if you wanted more from the kitchen. The roof top terrace was a delight - a quiet oasis. Unfortunately our stay coincided with an unseasonably cold spell and we had to wrap up to sit out. The absolute delight was to step out of the hotel and be right in the centre of Sitges. The Pecat bar was a nice place to sit at and people watch. Can't wait to return!

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at the hotel, during which I encountered several issues that left me quite disappointed. Upon check-in, I found the reception staff to be rude and unprofessional. I was repeatedly asked the same question regarding the number of people staying in my room, despite clearly stating it was just me. Additionally, the check-in process took an unnecessarily long time as two staff members engaged in conversation, seemingly disregarding my presence. At one point, one of them even took a call on her mobile. I constantly felt like I was being watched or was waiting to be questioned which made me feel very uncomfortable while staying at the hotel. I chose to upgrade to the penthouse, expecting a premium experience. Unfortunately, this upgrade did not meet my expectations and felt like a poor value for the fee charged. I was disappointed to find that while I could access the lift to go down (the lift in-between 34 and 35), there was no option to return to my room that way. The amenities in the penthouse also did not feel special; there were no shower gels provided in the shower itself only handwash on the sink, the hot tap on the whirlpool was coming out cold, and I was surprised to find no price list for the minibar. I assumed it might be included, as is common in other hotels, only to be charged for it at checkout. There was also no use on the TV – no channels and the function of connecting the phone did not work. Furthermore, when I requested the cleaner to return later as I was busy in my room, I found her to be quite rude. This interaction added to my overall dissatisfaction during my stay. In summary, my experience at the hotel did not live up to the standards I expected, especially with the upgrade. I regret not opting for a more standard room, as the additional benefits were minimal and did not justify the cost. If you stay here the upgrade for penthouse is not worth it and stick with a standard room.

Area was loving and the staff was nice.

Lovely staff, and the roof terrace is great. It is in the ventre of the "gay" area, which will obviously very busy during high season with parties and noisy, so this would not be for me personally, but at themo ent in off season its fantasti.
