"A very unique and historic hotel."

10.0

The staff was very friendly and our room was incredible, I wasn't expecting to have a 3 story room. As with more historic hotels in Mexico, it is not handicap friendly. This isn't an issue for us. Very close to downtown Queretaro and it was very safe to be walking around at night.

"Business trip in a colonial hotel."

10.0

This was a business trip and I decided to stay away from business hotels. Best decision I have made regarding hotel accommodations. It is just different, colonial and inviting at the same time. No every city have what QRO has to offer, I will stay here again in my next visit. Near the center of downtown and close to more than twenty different restaurants.

"A wonderful Mexican experience"

10.0

We loved the ambiance/flavor of the hotel. It felt like a real Mexican hotel, which is exactly what we wanted on this trip. The room was very clean as well. It was a short five block walk to the Old Centre and they had off street parking. The continental breakfast was ok....but additional items could be purchased. The staff was very helpful when we decided to order in a pizza on one of the nights. All in all - the price was right, and the room met our expectations.

"Nice older Hotel"

8.0

Within walking distance of the centro Historic district. Very quiet clean rooms. It is not a hotel for people that have difficulty with stairs as our room had three floors. Free parking which is very important as parking can be difficult in most older sections of colonial cities in Mexico. Some staff did speak English & all were very helpful & friendly. Beds were very comfortable & AC in main bedroom.

"QUAINT AND INTERESTING"

6.0

the hotel was in the historic district and that made it very interesting but it seemed to be a bit sterile.. i mean it lack what i would call a presonal touch. it was very clean. the staff was nice but for those that like to be connected to the internet not the best place but if you just want to hide out and read a book or go for a walk then it was fine. the room was on three floors... something i had never seen before in all my travels so if you want something unusual then great but if you have a problem climbing stairs then maybe not your thing.

"Hotel Meson de la Merced Queretaro"

8.0

This hotel is located in the old colonial center of Queretaro. In fact, the hotel was originally built as a covent in the early 1800's and was converted into a hotel in 1992. Our room, a Junior Suite, was tastefully decorated and had a wonderful balcony over the courtyard. Real history with good vibrations. And the hotel went out and purchased a crib for us, because it was listed on their services. A real plus and a great staff. On the negative side, the parking lot is about three blocks from the hotel. The room was a three story affair with our main room on the top floor with real rickety stairways. Also, there was supposed to be a continental breakfast provided but they were not aware of this- we paid for our orange juice extra. But he location is great- if you want to visit the old colony of Queretaro-
