Hollyhock Country House

The house is very cozy and located in a peaceful spot, adjacent to a couple of wineries. The owner is very knowledgeable about the area and I enjoyed chatting with her over a tasty breakfast!

The best part of the property was Lucille. She was a wonderful hostess and is the owner of the property. My issue is that this is not a true bed and breakfast, but an owner renting out a room in her home and should be stated as such. The house is extremely old and although my room was comfortable, there was a musty smell.

Owner was VERY nice but property is VERY overpriced . Double beds went out in the 50's! But bed was of good quality. Not a place for older folks as railing on only one side of entry stairway as an example. Room is very SMALL TO THE POINT THAT YOU CANNOT ACCESS ONE SIDE OF THE BED .Inside is furnished with interesting things but to many. I think some younger folks might enjoy this VERY rustic property.

Super close to Downtown Sonoma and a great price for a cozy quiet room. Lucille is a wonderful host and her baked goods are delicious!

Wine country - very nice and quite country setting. Close to wineries & village of Sonoma.

Lovely quiet setting.out a little way from the noise and traffic of town. Like staying with a favorite aunt. Private bathroom next door to bedroom. Will have to remember how to take a bath in a tub, but there is a hand shower head on metal-covered flexible tubing for washing your hair. Old fashion hardwood floors and furniture so no plastic smell. Flaky homemade fruit-filled pastry, fresh fruit, etc. for breakfast. Perfect for vacation from usual commercial business, however WIFi is available and free.
