I stayed at this hotel mid January 2026 with my wife for four days. The hotel is small, basic and inexpensive. Our room (6) had a double and two single beds and a bathroom. It was clean and tidy but very basic. The fittings in the bathroom were poor. A live mains plug socket near the sink was hanging slightly off the wall. The toilet was old and badly stained. The complimentary small soap (15mm x 5 mm) supplied in a packet was so hard and abrasive it wasn’t of use. Apart from three sachets of hair shampoo, no other toiletries were available. The shower was fairly unsafe in that the flooring of the shower was rounded (to allow the water to drain) and there were no hand rails to grip. Once the floor was wet, it became very slippery and made exiting the shower perilous particularly if a person was slightly unsteady on their feet. The other issue we had with the room was that it was cold. The blanket that was available seemed ‘grubby’ and I was reticent to use it. The only heat source was a noisy old air con unit that did little to heat the room. I did not ask for a heater and am doubtful as to whether there was one available. There was no water or glasses provided in the room. The Wi-Fi in the room worked okay and there were a number of electrical sockets to charge phones etc. The small atrium on entry into the hotel that is usually open to the sky had a tarpaulin stretched across the whole area. In the evening and mornings, condensation would accumulate on the underside and would drip down to the seating area below. The hotel day manager used a long broom to knock the condensation off the tarpaulin from the roof. This resulted in large puddles forming on the floor below and the seating became wet. The breakfast provided was in the atrium area and was equally basic and bread-based and this was served with coffee. The day manager was friendly and helpful. He had fortunately met us as we were dropped off by an airport taxi and he walked us the four hundred metres to the hotel and without this, I believe we could have easily got lost through the maze of small alleys as this was our first visit to the city. We believe that this hotel has the potential of being a great place given its location in Marrakech however it does need money being spent on the place to bring it up to an acceptable standard.

Location good Atmosphere terrible, The rooms where absolutely disgusting mattress very stained smelly. Broken bed dirty floor mats . Stained towels disgusting bath couldn't use .ceiling falling in nearly got it on the head . Leaking roof in dinner area . Cats in the kitchen. Staff in their pyjamas bottoms. Towels old sheets old . I wouldn't let my dog eat there . Very disappointed and depressing its an absolute dump . You have been warned ⚠️ what a waste of my hard earned money. NEVER NEVER EVER AGAIN. Im just glad we survived it without getting some kind of illness. To scared to complain because we had nowhere else to go. We where cautious of everything we touched. Marrakech is brilliant just stay somewhere nice . ☹️😫😢😎

My wife and I stayed here for a week in September. Finding the Rhiad was an experience in itself but once we got our bearings all was good. Make sure you know where you are going as the taxi from the airport dropped us off along the Main Street of the Kasbah as the streets are too narrow for vehicles (except bikes). We arrived after 9pm and didn’t have a clue where we were going. A frantic wander around the same dark streets and we eventually found our Riad. Upon arriving we were greeted by the amazing Abdul who couldn’t do enough to make us feel welcome, even rustling up an omelette for my wife despite the time. This level of hospitality never wavered throughout our stay. This is not a hotel so don’t expect 5 star luxury (as some seem to expect), it is however an amazing experience. Yes it might be slightly dated but that adds to the character, the rooms were cleaned daily and bedding changed daily also. It is located in the heart of the Kasbah area and is close enough to walk to all the main tourist attractions. All the staff were amazing and friendly, and cannot fault any of them. We ate the tagine a couple of times and it was extremely tasty and would recommend trying it at least once. Thanks to Abdul we had a wonderful experience, which I would highly recommend!

Very safe and beautiful riad , quiet ,and amaizing staff , Abdul is a great guy , he is take care of everyting you ask , kind and smile all the time ,rooms are quiet soacious and clean ,hot water all time and very nice roof top , i had a great holiday.Riad is very close to shops ,medina ,is a good choice , i was impressed how kind are people here and i thanks for all , I recomend Riad Mandalay !!! ,with respect and many hugs Elena and Dan 😊
