I stayed with my girlfriend in Hostal Valencia for 3 nights in Nov 07. Found it really clean, pleasant and really good value. The double room was spacious enough and cost about €90 per night for the two of us. It was about 50 metres from the football stadium (La Mestalla) so if you were going over to watch a game it'd be perfect. We had only 2 slight problems. Firstly the water in the shower wouldn't stay at a steady temperature - it went extremely hot at regular intervals when you were showering (every 30 seconds or so). Secondly the key card for our room was dodgy and only worked intermittently. These quibbles aside, and I think we were a bit unlucky with them, it was an excellent budget option in Valencia. No hesitation in recommending it, plus Valencia is a great place and well worth visiting. By the way, it's also pretty near a metro stop, so you're only about 30 mins from the airport, which has a metro stop too.
