Hotel Glymur

lovely unique hotel in great location for hiking and exploring away from the crowds. And breakfast and dinner were unsurpassed our entire trip. Amazing food. Kudos to the chef

Overall good, too far from the airport, about 2 hours and nothing around, no restaurants or shops. our only regret was we didn't see northern lights during out 3 days stay.

Really good use of the space to provide a split level room making it a small studio. Very pleasant indeed. The views from the room were outstanding and the bar and restaurant were top notch. The hot tub is perfectly situated to be sheltered and get the best view.

Otherwise nothing too special Staff seemed a little inexperienced (particularly at the bar) Food fair

The room was oh so comfy! Loved the fact that it was 2 stories. Great breakfast buffet. Great view.

Hot tub growing algae. Dinner disappointing. Staff not well trained. Rooms had bed on upper level, hard for getting to bathroom during the night. Too expensive.

From the outside you would not think that the hotel would be so nice on the inside, but it is. The views are great, the food is wonderful, the rooms are small but comfortable.(You can splurge on a villa or suite- not currently available through the web site). The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is well located for exploring western Iceland..

What a strange place! Hotel room was poorly designed so not very comfortable. Reception staff very friendly and food good but room and decor left a lot to be desired!

Expensive hotel but not as good as it could be. Curtain ripped, tv didn't work and no wifi in the room as advertised. Evening meal very expensive but fairly average. Whilst it was perfectly fine and the problems easily fixed, Iceland has nicer hotels for a lot less money. Not sure what is 'boutique' about it...
