Oubaai Hotel Golf & Spa

I would like to provide some feedback regarding my recent stay at Oubaai hotel.This was my 5 th visit and overall i had a pleasent stay. However there were a few maintenance and service issues that i feel should be brought to your attention. 1. The bathtub drain was blocked and would not drain properly. 2. The safe in the room was locked and could not be used. 3. On sunday evening 31/05 at approximately 9.15 pm ,after we had gone to sleep, there was a knock on the door. Before i could respond a staff member opened the door and entered,asking whether wifi was working. As room access is only possible with keycard , this was quite concerning and an invasion of privacy. 4. The interior lock was very stiff and difficult to operate and the additional security latch was broken. 5. My wife hardly slept further. Despite these issues we enjoyed our stay and the hotel remains a beautiful destination .I trust these matters will be addressed to improve the experience for future guests. Jurg Streicher room 336

When I arrived at the desk, the receptionist informed me that there is no water at the hotel. I understood from him that water supply had been cut off earlier in the day. I was very unhappy because I expected the hotel management to inform me, along with other expected clients, that there is a water issue especially as they did not know if and when it would be resolved. I only found out about it upon arrival. I had an important dinner meeting two hours after arrival, and could not shower and prepare for it, for obvious reasons. I immediately cancelled my stay and then had to rush to see if I could find alternative accommodation in George.

The views, the decor, the staff, especially the spa it was fantastix!!

There was n group of ladies for a conference we assume, when we had dinne the were also in the restaurant but so loud me and my husband could hardly talked to each other. So we ate and left, wanted to have a few drinks but decided to rather just leave. Then, the next morning exactly the same thing happen, they use all the tables in the restaurant so we sat on the outskirt of the restaurant was a downer for us. Again extremely loud making it very uncomforable for other guests. So after a very good experience this spoiled it for us, as it was a weekend away to connect but we could enjoy our meal together

After booking in we found out there was no running water in the bathroom! Reception enquired if they can supply us with buckets of water! The next morning the water from the taps were brown! Perhaps in future keep guests informed about what they can expect before they arrive! Coffee mug in room had been used previously and not cleaned! An extra blanket for the bed would be welcome as the room is freezing cold!

The room was well appointed and smelled beautiful.

We loved everything so nothing to complain about
