Classic Lodges Grinkle Park Easington

The location is perfect for visiting the surrounding area. The gardens are lovely, the staff are very friendly and very accommodating. The rooms and the place itself are very clean. I have stayed in plenty of hotels around the world, I can not fault this one.

Enjoyable 2 night stay at Grinkle Park. Very good breakfast and varied evening menu.

Quiet and secluded location, easy travelling distance for Whitby, Staithes and the moors. Lovely large garden full of rhododendrons.

Excellent couldn't fault it

Staff wonderful as was food but I do not think it was worth the price i.e the room bed was a really small double the windows in the bathroom all the paint was coming of .We didnt conplain about the room as we knew they were full. Saying all that I the good things outway the bad.

Paid for a Deluxe Suite, arrived at hotel to be given a basic, dusty, double room..with a terrible bed, hotel staff first tried to convince us this was a deluxe double (no king size bed, no slippers and gown etc), then blamed it all on the "current situation" (covid-19 I assume), then resorted to "it's not our fault, we only work here!) We left without paying or staying, fortunately we found some excellent accommodation in Whitby.

Cleanliness of our room was adequate, but it appears the maid's duster dodges the top of the bedside lampshades. We reported the shower head was part blocked, the handyman did attend to this whilst we were out for the day. The bar only had draught cider and bottled beers available. It was cashless, and the contactless payment machine didn't work. Only minor issues, but issues non-the-less.
