Foxhunt at Sapphire Valley

More on one level , less steps.

The location was perfect.

We liked everything about the property.

The area is stunning. The units are somewhat dated but a great size. It feels like being in a treehouse! A negative of our trip was the staff which wasn't welcoming. They nickel and dime you for all amenities (putt putt is free which is great though!) you have to give an amenities card for even towels at the pool which means you have to deal again with unfriendly staff that acts more like your invading their community instead of valued guests. There are lots of homeowners in the community and we were basically told that they cater to them. If you only intend to use the unit to sleep and have no interaction with staff through the amenities then it would be fine. Otherwise I would just stay in the surrounding towns.

I like that it had enough space for my family of 6. Two adults, two teens and two babies. It was very easy to check in even after hours and the staff was very nice. They had everything you might need to cook dinner. Lots of entertainment however, its a distance from where youre staying.

Upon check in I noticed the place to have no view of the mountains which isnt clear till after booking. Our particular place seemed to be outdated, had a broken screen door, lighting over the dining table was out, lots of cobwebs, broken dresser drawers and bathroom drawers and something on the bathroom walls. The community and rec center are a good distance from the actual rental so you cant walk. They also close at 9pm which seems to be fairly early for a place like this. The indoor pool was also closed when we stayed which was not mentioned before booking. Overall a 3 out of 5.
