"Does the Job"

6.0

Great location, however, there are areas where the floor, rather than being a suspended slab is timber with a tile overlay. The noise transference when people, who are even walking normally, move across is phenomenal into the rooms. We had a room with a massive spa, which is great. Unfortunately the shower is also inside the spa. The large granite slab that surrounds it makes it virtually impossible to safely climb in and out - forget the elderly. Probably time to upgrade the beds, especially when there is room to make them King rather than Queen beds, and perhaps King Singles rather than the standard single beds in the second room. Apartments are a very good size and the amenities provided are excellent. Very good and popular restaurant in the complex. Undercover parking which is great in the tropical heat. Air conditioning also excellent, another necessity in the tropics.

"Perfect location "

10.0

Loved staying at Saltwater we were right in the middle of everything and didn't need a car. Staff were wonderful and the property is very clean and well maintained. Beds are great and rooms have everything you need whilst away. The stairs didn't worry us but older guests might find them a bit of a challenge and parents with prams - other than that its a great property to stay at and we will be back.

"Central to everything"

8.0

Loved the venue and location Only small negatives were mouldy smell when we first checked in (most of which cleared after leaving windows open, but still some residual on furniture, which could be addressed by having different covering on couches etc) and late night noise, which I know can't be avoided. Oil area great for sunbathing

"Great place to stay"

8.0

We really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation was right in the heart of town and the 3 bedroom unit was clean, modern and a good size. It was great for the kids and us. We enjoyed the pool and the BBQ and overall really enjoyed our time at Saltwater.

"Great central location"

8.0

Fantastic to be in the heart of all the eating venues! And close walk to beach, marina and massages. Pool was great for kids. Well run accommodation. If you sleep lightly, just take ear plugs. Lounge room and bedroom next to it have no real sound barrier and we could hear other people from other rooms very easily. But apart from that we were happy to stay there :)

"Great apartment, clean and close to everything"

10.0

My mum and I arrived into Port Douglas by midday and had arranged an earlier check in with the staff at Saltwater. This was already a great start to our holiday! Upon entering our room we were amazed at how clean and spacious our two bedroom apartment was and felt spoilt with so much space for two people! The apartments are literally in the middle of all the action - walking distance to everything!

"Central location"

10.0

If you want to stay in Port Douglas you can't get more centrally located than Saltwater. Everything you need is within a few hundred meters of your front door. Food, shopping, bars and activities. The apartments have a good pool, we had a 3br which was comfortable for our family of 5. The rooms are in good condition and clean. Parking is free. I would recommend renting a car if you fly in from Cairns. The Daintree, Mossman Gorge, and Cape Tribulation are all a short drive from PD. You don't need to pay for expensive tours, it's an easy self guided drive to all these locations and more.
