Nkomazi Game Reserve by NEWMARK

Die Lodge liegt in einem landschaftlich wunderschönen privaten Game Reserve. Man ist in sehr großen und hervorragend ausgestatteten Safarizelten untergebracht. Jedes Zelt hat eine eigene Aussichtsplattform mit kleinem Pool. Die Game Drives haben uns sehr gut gefallen, insbesondere auch wegen der tollen Landschaft. Wir konnten mehrfach die Löwen und die Geparden beobachten. Vielen Dank an Jona, unseren Guide!

Lunch und Abendessen waren gut, aber für eine 5-Sterne-Lodge doch etwas einfach. Wir hätten mehr Raffinesse und bessere Qualität, insbesondere beim Fleisch, erwartet. Das Frühstück dagegen war ausgesprochen gut und reichhaltig.

Siamo stati benissimo. Abbiamo passato 6 notti all’interno della riserva ma non ci siamo annoiati. Ci è piaciuto fare safari ogni giorno e vedere animali e posti diversi. La tenda era bellissima e dotata di tutti i confort. La piscina era fredda ma entrandoci un po’ alla volta e nelle ore più calde (nonostante fosse inverno) era comunque piacevole. Il patio fuori con la vista sul fiume era fantastico e abbiamo visto diversi animali da lì. Il personale è sempre stato gentile e sorridente. Il cibo era semplice ma gustoso. Abbiamo cenato due volte al booma e l’atmosfera era stupenda. Un ambiente in generale veramente rilassante e completamente immerso nella natura. Durante il nostro soggiorno c’è stato un incendio piuttosto grosso nelle vicinanze e la general manager è stata molto brava a preparaci e tenerci sempre informati su quello che stava succedendo. Ci ha tranquillizzati passo passo nonostante fosse spaventoso anche per lo staff. Abbiamo usufruito anche della spa per dei trattamenti e siamo rimasti soddisfatti del servizio.

La tenda in inverno risultava un po’ fredda al mattino dopo il calo delle temperature notturne, nonostante il riscaldamento acceso. Però è una cosa alla quale si può resistere per il tempo in cui ci si veste per andare a fare il safari.

Private Lodge, mitten im Busch, sensationelle Lage. Topp Personal, mega freundlich. Die Unterkünfte sind super, gute Betten. Das Essen ist hervorragend. Die Game Drives mit unserem Guide Respect (sein Vorname) waren aussergewöhnlich gut, er hat sich immer sehr bemüht, uns alles zu zeigen. Die Sundowner waren der Hammer.

Superb, luxurious room overlooking the river with its own plunge pool. Game guide who went to great effort to locate game despite a devastating fire a few days earlier. A family of cheetah was a highlight.

The meals. Definitely not in same class as everything else. Well presented though.

Very nice place, all the staff was very kind, the rooms are well decorated and very clean. Our driver did his best to find all the animals we wanted to see and made us have a great time there!

The food was good in general but not outstanding. And keep in mind that even in a private reserve you are not sure to see animals (which is the beauty of nature), we saw only 2 big 5 during our 4 drives (lions & buffalos)
