Hotel Santa Fe Loreto by Villa Group

I liked the beauty of the courtyard and the design of the the rooms all around the outside, so as soon as you exit your room, you see a lovely vista. Also the location was convenient for going to the airport but it was a long walk to the malecon and there were no great little taquerias nearby.

The locks on the doors were impossible. I had to leave my door unlocked because I could not open it with the "key". Also there were no extra blankets and I was cold at night. I had to pile up my clothes on top of my single blanket to stay warm enough to sleep. Also the fan in the bathroom did not work well, so the whole place smelled like caca. Fortunately, I was on the fourth floor so I could open my window during the day.

Price for the space we had was excellent - we had the 3 bdrm penthouse Good breakfast

Floors were dirty, doors had termite damage and a gap that was pretty large on the entry door casing

We had a family suite that turned out to be the penthouse and every room was MASSIVE with excellent A/C and an ensuite in every room. Everything was super clean and the housekeeping staff were wonderful, they made different designs with the linens in the bathrooms and beds every day in addition to leaving the place spotless. Restaurant on site was delicious and open to serving us poolside. There's also a little convenience store that has a bit of everything, and the hotel is walking distance to the main shopping strip which then leads you right to the ocean and a beach, about 15mins if you don't stop and shop. It's near the airport, but there are only 2 flights a day and they're both mid afternoon so we didn't notice any airplane noise at all since we were always out.

Not a complaint, but there was no dish soap or dishwasher pucks to be able to clean up after ourselves in the kitchen, and no broom to clean up the sand we tracked in. But the staff picked up after us every day, and in all fairness I kept forgetting to ask them for those items :)
