Continental

The hotel is very close to the port, which was good for me but it was a bit of a steep climb up to the entrance. Its a very old hotel with a lot of history as you can see with old artifacts and photos.

The Continental is a very old hotel and it shows in every aspect. Don't trust the pictures for the room. The amenities are very limited, the room we were given had a Bed, nightstand with light and a tv with remote and storage for clothes. The bathroom was clean the room was clean. However there was no rug or carpet in the room or any chairs for sitting as pictured in the advertisement. If you will enjoy staying in a museum then this is a great place to stay.

I got to the hotel late at night with a booking and didn’t have a room. I was offered a stinky nasty room due to water sewage problem, I refused it, then was given someone else’s who is coming in late’s room. Broken door handles, heater not working, and very old covers. Breakfast buffet was horrible, out of most things and just kept telling me that more is coming 😄, never did. The bald man keeping an eye on it was weird and rude. I went and had a good breakfast elsewhere. The history of this hotel is nice, but should be a museum and not a hotel.

This hotel is quite old. We checked in and got a moldy room on the second floor, but everything was still ok as the hotel is old and full of memores. Yet the next morning i slipped after taking a shower. The bathroom is not slip proof and as a consequence i slipped and hit my head on the floor, resulting in a wound on my head. After explaining this to the reception they offered me a different room, but these bathrooms were exactly the same and stank so much of mold that we kept the old one. I told them to do something about the slipperyness but they didnt. I perceive this as a lack of service, and also feel like they did not take me seriously. Its ok to have an old hotel, but make them safe and remove the mold..

Very average and overpriced. Noisy corridors, WiFi didn’t work in the room,TV reception terrible, breakfast disappointing.

Lovely hotel, conveniently had four single beds for me and my girlfriends. Lots of markets in the area Perfect location near the ferry. Note it’s not near the Tangier Med … one hour away cost us 30 euros There are TWO tangier ferries!!! Now I know lol

The hotel is a historic landmark, located right in front of the port and in the old town. For us, travelling by ferry and without a car, it was the most convenient choice. Close to the medina, the Kasbah and built on the city walls. The building is just like a museum - the tearoom and breakfast room are just incredible. We got a quadruple room on the third floor with great views. The room was comfortable and clean. As noted by others, the hotel does not have a lift, and furthermore access from the post requires climbing a few flights of stairs. Access by car is possible through the old city (a local taxi will get you there), but not straightforward. It may not be to everyone's taste but we were extremely happy of our choice and loved it.
