Fort Ilocandia Resort Hotel

The property is great with a lot to do during the season. Rodel the waiter at the restaurant is the best. He took such good care of us. This was a special time for us because it was not only the birthday day of my fiancée but also I proposed on this trip and he had the chef make her a cake. We were late for our lol free breakfast and he took care of us. We were here in September and it is their off season so a lot of the activities were not going on. I am looking forward to come when they are.

Room is clean. Ac is working well , good breakfast , I was very comfortable

It might not be as vibrant and lively as before but Fort Ilocandia is still charming and offers the best Staycation proposition among hotels in the Ilocos Region. There are just so many things you can do at the hotel. From swimming to exploring the sand dunes to playing golf to eating good food, the hotel is still solid when it comes to family activities. The hotel is also a great jump off point in exploring Laoag, Paoay, Bangui, and Pagudpud. If I am staying in Ilocos Norte for a week, I would gladly pick this hotel.

Hotel has a lot of potentials, but amenities are dated, however adequate. Staff are ok but need to smile a little more

Fort Ilocandia Resort Hotel, ‪Barangay 37, Calayab, Laoag, Ilocos Norte, 2900, Philippines‬ It is hot here and the air-con in my room is not good, it is noisy. The place needs to be brighter as it’s very dim and dark in places..the pictures in the promotion on here are bright and light and do not reflect what it says.. the reception area is too warm and the fans on the ceiling do nothing at all to cool the area down, on sone occasions they were not turned on. My bathroom is also dim and dark with just 2 lights; these lights are yellow and not bright, the walls are dark; decor is dark wood, which makes it even darker. The carpets on the main stairs and staircase are worn and the rug in my room too, a yellow patterned one had stained marks on it in some places. My room had 2 cockroaches and mosquitoes and l had to ask them to spray the room. Within the details for the property it says they is a Spa? they is not! I asked for Spa details and the receptionists tells me that the service stopped 1 year ago.. I am really disappointed with the hotel and wished l not booked it.. l went to sit by the swimming pool as the pictures in Hotel.com are so inviting and was let down, the water in the pool looked murky., and not clean.. they is no umbrellas next to the sun loungers and the pool attendant tells me that they do not have any for the area..you can not get a Cappuccino or Espresso; why? The only good thing about the hotel is the Chinese Restaurant; this is good.

The whole place itself was amazing... very relaxing and quiet. Hotel amenities was all nice. The staffs were so nice too but the rooms needs improvement and renovation. The room doors was old and the aircondition was not so much getting cold. The carpet under the bed should be cleaned more as the dirt was just under it.
