Friendly staff. They are perfect. Noisy aircon. Room is ok but a little degraded.

I am unimpressed with the hype of this old hotel: the property is confusing, and it appears to be on the way down. That is why they will arbitrarily chop room rates by a whole 1000p or more to keep their rooms full, which is a tip-off for anyone who is fairly smart. As well, and as is common with old hotels where maintenance is low on their list of priorities, I smelled stale dirty air upon entering. With the new Richmonde and more top-end hotels going into the city - downtown Grand Imperial, and new ones being built near SM City mall and especially Megaworld Boulevard complex - old places like the Mansion are at serious risk. The outdoor pool was being used, but like many facilities at old sites, it was showing signs of wear and tear. I'd likely not ever swim in it. And so it should be... Take the Korean restaurant that it backs quite assertively. The lunch buffet that goes until dinner and on to 9pm, is quite big and looks promising, but it's only average. Although they will cook some fresh pork belly pieces as an addition to your buffet meal, what if you don't like pork or all the fat on it? Well, they don't bother asking, and so you get this fatty 'meat' anyway. The buffet food choices are quite varied, but some of them didn't look appetizing enough to try, and many of those that I chose I'd not ever eat again. But what topped it off was the 'service water' they served. It was tap water! The only case of diarrhea I got in the first month in Iloilo this time was from this restaurant. How dumb and cheap can the accommodating Korean owner be? You want to lose business? Have everyone running to the comfort room within an hour after having eaten! Will I go back? Not ever. I don't let any restaurant make me sick a second time! Stay away unless you like fatty pork belly and dirty tap water to go with the meal.

Overall it was ok, the only thing was when we requested for the towels, they charged us for the extra when there are only 2 pcs of towels in the room. I do not thing hotels should asked for that, it should be included already.

I was able to stay in their newly renovated rooms for Dinagyang. I was impressed by the upgrade! The management also invited some performers to add to the fesitivities of Dinagyang in The Mansion. Had a great experience!

A night there with 4 colleagues. Rooms large & comfortable. Service attentive & great breakfast. Plenty of choice to suit both local & overseas visitors. Short taxi ride to malls but plenty of local shops. The pool was clean but could do with a bit more ambience.

I was back on another business trip for Iloilo, stayed there only for 2 nights. I really felt the spirit of Christmas upon entering the newly-renovated lobby of the hotel. There were tons of Christmas Decor in the lobby and you can hear the Christmas Carols through the hotel speakers. This hotel needs renovation but from what I've been seeing, they are in better hands.

I brought a group of students from UA&P last June. We had a blast! Hotel is far better than my past recollection of how it was years back. Far cleaner and better ambiance! The new lobby is very welcoming. Staff is very warm and eager to assist. I gave a talk in one of the halls and it went very smoothly thanks to staff assigned to us. They were very attentive to our needs and made sure we had all the support we needed. I love the food! Breakfast buffet is a champion! And I felt pampered. Waiters refilled my glass of water even before I could request it. That's awesome attention to details. Will be back there again soon!

I frequented this property ever since it was helmed by the old management. It's location is very convenient; right smack in the city center, between the old and the new city of Iloilo. But WOW, if you have seen this place improve throughout the months! I never wrote a review before, because what the heck i would only go to sleep in one of their "corporate" rooms and leave w/o breakfast or eating in the hotel (i tried before and it was bad). During my last visit a few weeks ago, food was a lot better, service was exccelence and the rooms were cleaner and somewhat better. And I heard they're renovating soon. Kudos to the new management.

Having lived in Iloilo for years, I love the history of this hotel but sadly, the rooms have become so run down that I would not consider staying there again until they have modernised it. I'm sad to see the Sarabia name go. The staff was very friendly and the buffet breakfast was excellent although it could do with a bit more variety of fruit.

We had a pleasant experience from checking-in to checking out. The front desk staff, the bellman, security guards to the room service staff were all pleasant. There was a problem with their cable box and the room phone but they were promptly fixed.
