Extremely comfortable bed. Spacious bathroom with a good shower.

In the evening we had a table next to the bar and it was very noisy Not conducive to conversation.

Cleanliness

No email to state room I booked was unavailable, no rooms in main hotel as being redecorated, unable to access room via main hotel had to go round beck via kitchen entrance again no email to stay there was extensive building work being done, staff did not explain or ask if I had been before so was not explained how I could access these areas whilst hotel under reconstruction also in check out I was not asked if I had a pleasant stay, no feedback was asked nor a pleasant goodbye/have a nice day, very underwhelming experience of somewhere I was looking forward to staying.

The surroundings are stunning. Food in the Cave was amazing and we had brunch in a dome...staff were so good, attentive and accommodating

"Well appointed and spacious rooms - great attention to detail."

Room was well appointed, spacious and immaculately clean. Very good attention to detail (e.g. underfloor heating in the shower, a pint of milk for tea and coffee, a cafetiere, a tea-pot, pen - all the little things that just elevate the experience)

The lighting in the room, while very stylish, was a little inadequate in places - e.g. around the tea and coffee station
