The Vijitt Resort Phuket

We recently stayed in Villa 59 and had a mixed experience. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, featuring a beautiful exotic bathroom with a wonderful view from the bathtub—truly a highlight of the stay. While we initially had some drainage issues with the shower and tub, the staff rectified them promptly. One minor disturbance was a smoky smell on two occasions. While we first thought it might be the restaurant kitchen (as Villa 59 is located directly behind it), the smell wasn't persistent, and we later noticed what appeared to be a landfill or similar site nearby, which was likely the source. The breakfast was OK, though not the most diverse I’ve seen for a 5-star property. However, the restaurant food was delicious and affordably priced. Be prepared for longer wait times in the evening when it gets busy. A special shout-out to our waiter, Jo, who was consistently kind and attentive. Regarding the staff in general, they weren't as warm as we’ve experienced elsewhere in Thailand, but they were never impolite. The main drawback is the beach directly in front of the resort. The water is too shallow for swimming, and due to the tide, it recedes hundreds of meters during the day. The pool is an option, or you can use the resort’s shuttle to nearby beaches at 10:00 and 14:00 (15–20 min drive). Note that you must book these in advance. We were quite disappointed with the management of the Sunday Old Town Phuket excursion. Despite arriving on Friday and asking to join, we were flat-out refused and told to take a Bolt or taxi. Other guests were placed on a waiting list, but we weren't given that option or a clear explanation why, and our request to increase the group capacity (limited to 10) was declined. Prices at the spa are very high. If your priority is a resort where you can swim in the ocean and easily walk back to your room, you may want to look elsewhere. However, if you value a beautiful room and don't mind commuting for a swim, it's a solid choice.

We had a restful week at the Vijitt - lovely large room and comfortable bed despite not being a twin which we booked, hotel has large double bed bases with 2 mattresses but we managed. Very quiet for sleeping. Room clean but we did get termites one day which were cleaned up the next day. Breakfast good but sadly no mangoes available which surprised us. Restaurant gives loads of choice. Pool lovely and well managed. Beach no good which we were disappointed about. Staff very polite and friendly. Spa treatment out of this world. We enjoyed visiting Rawai fishing village. We had a great week.

This was our third stop in Thailand and it was like the cherry on top! Wonderful place to stay. Book a spa treatment and you won’t regret or forget it.

We stayed at The Vijitt Resort Phuket from January 11 to 18, 2026, and had a truly wonderful experience. This resort is perfect for travelers looking for peace, nature, privacy, and high-quality service. We started our stay in a Deluxe Seaview Villa. The view was absolutely beautiful - waking up to a sunrise over the sea every morning was unforgettable. The villa was very comfortable and well designed, with fresh bedding, a panoramic view of the sea and the surrounding forest, a bathtub with a sea view, an outdoor shower, and a canopy bed. The villa also had a modern Smart TV, which made it easy to watch content in different languages in the evenings. After a few nights, we upgraded to a Pool Villa for two nights. The upgrade process was smooth, and having a private pool was a great experience and definitely worth it. At check-in, the hotel requires a USD 200 refundable deposit, which is returned at check-out if there are no additional charges. The service was excellent throughout our stay. All staff members were polite, friendly, and attentive. Special thanks to Tammy and Beam for helping with the upgrade and making the move between villas easy and stress-free. The resort grounds are large, green, and very well maintained. Cleanliness is at a high level, and you can see staff constantly taking care of the property. The resort offers a spa, fitness center, several restaurants, a main swimming pool, and sun loungers by the beach. The beach at the resort is not ideal for swimming, but the hotel provides a shuttle to Nai Harn Beach, one of the best beaches in Phuket. There is also a shuttle to Central Phuket shopping mall, which is very convenient. The location is quiet and secluded, exactly what we wanted. By taxi, it takes about 20 minutes to reach Karon Beach, 30-40 minutes to Patong. Most guests were Europeans, and we also met travelers from the USA and Australia, as well as a few families from Kazakhstan and Russia. The atmosphere was calm and international. Food was very good. Breakfasts were tasty and healthy, with a good variety of fresh fruits. We also tried the seafood buffet once (around 1,200 THB per person) and were impressed by the quality and freshness. In-room dining was very convenient, and with such a beautiful view, we often preferred dining in the villa. We were welcomed with a nice complimentary setup including wine, fruit, and snacks, which was a thoughtful touch. Overall, The Vijitt Resort Phuket exceeded our expectations. We left feeling relaxed and refreshed and would gladly return in the future.

We had a great 4 night stay at the viijit for our honeymoon. It was alovely surprise to be upgraded to a private pool villa on arrival. Room was very clean & spacious with good amenities and the staff were all pleasant and helpful. Breakfast had a nice selection as did dinner. Would reccommend the Boatyard restaurant in Karon if you fancy a bit of fine dining and although the sunset isnt visible from the tables the sky was filled with colour. If you fancy something a bit different the dinner in the sky was a fun experience , we just had cocktails but the food all looked great too. Beach wise would reccommend Nai Harn beach as it was a bit quieter, massages were good and the sunset was gorgeous there.

We spent nights at Vijitt. We arrived about 10pm and bar was closing, we were quite tired from travelling so had an early night. The rooms are all little bungalows, very spacious, consisting of outside shower, balcony, large bathroom and dressing room, also a small garden entrance area. The pool is huge and there were plenty of sunbeds. Swimming in the sea was not possible though, as the tide was out most of the day, and when in, its very very shallow. The breakfast selection is very good lots of choice and both Western and Asian offerings. We got a taxi down to Rawai one night, about 200 - 300 baht each way. There's plenty of bars and restaurants, money exchange places, and taxi rank. We enjoyed a whole fish, rice, spring rolls and 3 beers, for around 1000 baht. The second night we walked down the main road, its a busy dual carriageway and no footpath, so care is needed. There are some bars and local restaurants along the road. We stopped at a local place and had a beer, a water, chicken and cashews nuts, rice and a pad Thai, all freshly cooked and delicious and only 360 baht. A bit further on there was a night market with lots of stalls and very lively. We had a walk around and opted for a 1 hour foot massage 200 baht. A lovely place but a long way from the airport, much quieter than some other resorts in Phuket and seems to be more locals than tourists.

We stayed at Vijitt Resort Phuket for a family holiday with high expectations, given the resort’s 5-star positioning and pricing. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to that standard. The food was consistently poor throughout our stay — limited variety, average quality, and not what one would expect from a resort at this level which is disappointing on a family holiday where meals are a key part of the experience. The accommodation itself was basic rather than luxurious. While clean, it lacked the finish, comfort, and attention to detail typically associated with a true 5-star resort. The pool area was nice but you cannot swim in the sea. Most concerning was how our stay ended. The final day was overshadowed by repeated disputes over a small charge that had been applied incorrectly twice on our invoice. Despite clear evidence provided that the charge was invalid, the issue continued to be reopened unnecessarily by the staff. We spent over two hours at reception demonstrating the payments already made on booking and could clearly prove this via bank transfer documents and receipts from the hotel. Despite this, the reception team repeatedly changed the rationale for the charge, coming up with ludicrous and incorrect explanations, phoning management several times, and relied on incorrect or illogical explanations. Even after the matter appeared resolved, it was reopened again later that evening by the resort as we were going for our evening dinner, and yet again during checkout the next morning after we had paid our invoice in full - with staff stating management was “rechecking” and would contact us by email as we departed the resort. The whole episode was quite unbelievable, unprofessional and caused unnecessary stress and frustration at what should have been a relaxed departure. Overall, this was not a 5-star experience. Poor food, underwhelming accommodation, and an unprofessional and persistent billing issue left a lasting negative impression. We would not return and would not recommend the resort.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at The Vijit! From the moment we arrived, the attentive staff took care of our every need, including an immediate upgrade to a beautiful sea view villa with a private pool. Speaking of that villa, it was absolutely gorgeous with incredible amenities in addition to the pool (out door teak shower, 'lounging' bath tub, etc). Additionally, the food at the resort was a pleasant surprise as we found the Thai food served at both The Savory and Baan Vijit to be excellent. We also seriously enjoyed a heavenly foot massage in the spa, the atmosphere of which was sublime. Perhaps the only constructive feedback I could leave is that the main pool got a bit crowded at times, so the resort should likely put more chairs out, especially considering there seemed to be plenty of room. Regardless, we cannot wait to come back to The Vijit!

This resort is truly amazing. The people are incredibly kind and genuine, and the energy is calm, deeply healing, and tender. It is a place you naturally want to return to. We love renting a scooter and exploring the mountains, surrounded by lush jungle. Here in Rawai, you still feel the authentic Thai vibe. Vijitt Resort is located in a quiet bay, feeling almost like it’s alone in the world. The villas are stunning—simply being in them feels uplifting and recharging. The resort is built on a mountain that flows all the way down to the ocean, and walking down or being driven by the buggy is absolutely breathtaking. At night, the lights throughout the resort are stunning and create a magical atmosphere. The breakfast is delicious, and enjoying it while looking out over the ocean, mountains, and palm trees brings a deep sense of inner stillness. The pool is serene, with a truly magical view. We love coming here. It is a blessing for the soul.

A perfect place to stay. The bungalow with pool was beautiful. The team was very helpful and friendly. If you want to leave your hectic life behind this is the resort to stay.
