The Vijitt Resort Phuket

We stayed here as a couple in april 2025. The check in was very laid back, informal and we got a complimentary lemongrass drink while waiting for our room key. After check in, we were moved to a buggy car, driving us and our luggage to our villa. Beautiful villa, with an amazing outdoor shower. There are some steep hills around the big resort, but we are in our 30s, so we didnt have any problems getting around. Might be though for some elderly people, but the buggy cars with their friendly drivers are always available and can drive you around the resort any time. The pool and restaurant area was beautiful. The pool was much bigger than expected, and seemed clean. Some sand on the ground, but the temperature in the pool was great. There is also an hammock next to the beach, with a beautiful scenery around. Spend some hours reading my book there. The beach is small, during the spring in the changing tidewaters, the beach will become bigger. But the ocean around is always pretty shallow, so its not ideal for swimming. I like the pool better, so i was happy anyway. The restaurants in the resort are very good. Please check out the authentic thai restaurant in the resort, its a bit hidden in the resort, but the food there was amazing. In the main restaurant, there was a great selection for breakfast. The area outside the resort is a bit dead, but with a Grab only 5 minutes away to Rawai Beach, you will find plenty of restaurants and bars. Very happy with the stay, and we are planning to come back next year with two extra persons. The only thing i would remark after this stay, is that there was a bit low pressure in the outdoor shower in the villa. Also just a tip to the pool bar/restaurant: Please expand your song playlists. It seems like they play the same lists with pretty few songs over and over again. One of the days next to the pool, i heard the same song at least 8 times on the speaker😉 See you next year!

Great stay at this comfortable resort. Everybody has a different view of a 5-star hotel/resort, so this place met my expectations in Phuket. The entire staff were just lovely. I usually travel in big cities, but this is the place where I needed to be for my mental health. It was beautiful, peaceful and very spiritual. Now, I can proceed with my next journey in life.

Beautiful individual villas in a lush tropical environment.

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room and equipment were a little old and loose but functioned fine. The area and the scenery were gorgeous.

Would not recommend this hotel, it’s way too remote, need a taxi to go anywhere. Hence eating in the hotel is a necessity, the food is very poor quality and expensive. Cost us an extra £200 each. The beach is abysmal and tidal. Our balcony overlooked a swamp so we couldn’t sit on it, bits of the bark roof landed on our bed when it rained and we had to spray the room with repellent. Paid £80 for a late check out had to phone for clean towels. The hotel did offer complimentary excursions but the one we fancied was fully booked before we arrived!!

We have just returned from the Vijitt resort. We were initially disappointed because, as others have said, the villa’s and complex need refurbishing which we understand is now being done. However, the setting is beautiful and the food excellent as are the staff. In particular Tommy, Maria & Ye. We found Phuket too busy for us, however we would recommend The View restaurant in Rawai which has a beautiful view of the sea and some of the best food we had anywhere in Thailand. Also Nikita’s was also very good. We recommend you download the App for Bolt or In drive Cabs. We found In drive to be slightly cheaper. We were charged 170 baht to get to Rawai Pier.

Lovely resort. Shame about surrounding area outside the resort. Maybe Phuket wasn’t for us. Our resort was beautifully maintained with great views. Our accommodation was comfortable and clean if a little tired. We ate at Savoury in the resort most nights and for breakfast each morning. The restaurant was very good and the service was great by the team. The infinity pool was lovely but the beach at the resort was disappointing. Just mud not sand and too shallow. Stepping outside the resort was a huge disappointment as was Phuket old town. Would I return ? If the resort were somewhere else, yes. But never again to Phuket.

A pleasant, quiet relaxing resort with a huge,lovely infinity pool and views out to sea. However room in need of a refresh and flying termites can be a bit of an irritation! Staff very friendly and helpful. Not much atmosphere in the evenings. Good breakfast.

The Vijitt Resort, near Phuket is a beautiful hotel. We stayed here for 4 nights after a hectic couple of weeks touring northern Thailand. This hotel definitely offered us a relaxing and charming stay. We loved our sea view villa. It was so spacious and we loved the huge bath and outdoor shower. We ate in both restaurants and preferred The Savoury. It offered a very varied menu. They also provide an excellent breakfast. I enjoyed the aqua aerobics session at the infinity pool and the yoga session on the lawn next to the ocean. We also enjoyed a rubber tapping workshop! We would have loved to use the Spa, but felt it was too expensive for us. (There are much cheaper options outside the resort.) The staff were all very friendly and helpful made our stay feel very special. We would thoroughly recommend The Vijitt and would love to return.
