Durham Motor Inn

Easy to book a room, helpful staff. It was a bit hard to sleep as the room was right next to a busy road which was quite noisy all night. Also the spa bath in the room was draining water as fast as it was filling up - which was a bit disappointing as I specifically requested a spa bath.

Room was adequate not worth $170 though staff were lovely

The care taker of the Motel is extremely negative. We killed couple of cockroaches. Had no hot water in the morning. And there was cobwebs on the roof. Very disappointing, never again.

Excellent location for us, this motel is clean, good basic comforts, though not exceptional in any way.

The photos on the website don’t accurately reflect the Motel, the interior of the rooms was very dated, the carpet, wallpaper are all very tired, some of the wallpaper beginning to oeel away. It wasn’t the nicest place to stay. On my first night I found hair (not mine!) in my bedsheets. I won’t be returning to this motel on my next visit to Tauranga. There are plenty of other hotel/motels for a similar price that are better value for money. I would avoid if you have a choice.

Said free wifi the hotel gave out daily vouchers which meant you had to go to the office no good when you work late

The room needs updating, apparently this is to be done next year. The TV didn't work properly. When I sat on the dining chair screws fell out. They definitely need new cleaners, there was caked on dust on the chairs and the floor around the edge of the bathroom needed a good scrub..

Close to town, restaurants and bars. The room was tired and needed a good clean. The bathroom was very old and the ceiling extractor fan was so dirty it is surprising it stayed attached to the ceiling. Check in was pleasant and efficient. Was a disappointment for a special weekend away.

Our stay at Durham Motor Inn was excellent. The staff were very welcoming on arrival and friendly at all times we interacted. The location is great and all facilities are provided within the rooms. Would definitely stay there again.

The motel was chosen for its location to shops & restaurants as we could walk to them. While staff were great, the room is tired. The bed needs replacing along with overall updating of the room.
