Blue Oyster

Absolutely lovely time at the Blue Oyster. Room was upgraded and was very clean. Breakfast was lovely with a beautiful view. Highly recommended!

Sadly, when we arrived we were told no internet in addition to being the only guests and having no local cell phone we were left alone as the owner stays off location. Traveling with just my daughter, we were a bit put off being left in the house with no alarm or owner present. We were however offered a panic alarm if we felt we needed it, still just a bit upsetting with this arrangement. Location is quite a distance from town however a lovely view in the morning over town.

Once you've got up the very steep hill the Blue Oyster sits on you can appreciate why it has such wonderful views of Knysna and the lagoon - which can be enjoyed from both the rooms and a range of communal areas. Although not far from the centre, the steepness of the hill means a walk back up might not be ideal but with a car or taxi it is an easy trip! Lovely breakfast with a view and very hospitable - this is a great place to see and visit Knysna from!

Stunning views

had a top floor room with large windows either side. One looked over the pool but the other had an wonderful panoramic view of Knysna and the lagoon. Really comfortable room and we enjoyed our stay.

We chose the Blue Oyster to celebrate a milestone birthday and it was perfect in every way. The view from our room was priceless and the service and attention to detail was exceptional.

This is the perfect place to stay on route from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth. With views to die for, comfortable, spotlessly clean rooms, great attention to detail and superb hospitality what more could you ask for? One of the best guesthouses we encountered on our recent Garden Route tour and certainly one I'd recommend to anyone. It really is a little gem!

Its high on the hill overlooking Knysna so walking is only for the athletic, but views are outstanding and so is service and help to work out your stay in Knysna

Found this to be a charming place located in Knysna Heights with a splendid view of the Waterfront and the Heads.The bedroom and bathroom are spacious,modern clean and bed comfortable.Location is close to Main Street. Staff is also hospitable. Only two minor complaints -breakfast time is too short from 8-9.30am and the bathroom was very cold due to the rains. Would highly recommend this place and would defintely choose to stay there again.
