There was good and bad. This hotel is located on very calm water and we like to swim in the waves. Too far to drive for Puerto Vallarta activities. 30 min. drive to surfer beach at Sayulita which was super fun! Vallarta Gardens had very nice people and food but was too quiet and boring for us. They would not let us out of our 6 night booking. (We are 60 years old.)
Vallarta Gardens is a beautiful spot, the gardens are lush.. the room was gorgeous.. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The pools were clean with comfy cabanas available.. but this is not the place to come if you are looking for that typical Mexican party vibe.. bar closes at 8:00 pm, restaurant at 9:00, And only one of a few bars were open.. It’s very quiet and relaxing. That’s our vibe so we loved it!!

I liked that it’s quiet and great place to relax. The staff is attentive and friendly. Besides the dirty socks we found left under the living room table everything was very clean. The food, (lunch and breakfast) were awful and inedible; expensive, bad taste. I would not recommend the restaurant food they serve there
