The Red Lion Hotel

The value of the room was excellent as the location was spot on for our needs. The staff were attentive and friendly. The cleanliness was flawless and the shower was great. The bed was comfortable and everything ie. TV, fan and kettle were provided.

I didn't see a little sign above a plug socket saying not to use it until it was too late and I blew a fuse (sorry again). If the message was a bit bigger I would have seen it.

Room had no air conditioner, was over 40 degrees in room during hot weather, curtains left open, only a fan provided by no use. Impossible to stay inside room and had to leave and find another hotel

The staff were really friendly and helpful - the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming.

We spent the hottest weekend in the year here and, although I understand it's an old building the rooms did get really hot and could have done with stronger fans.

Roof terrace in Room.28 a big bonus to chill out on with a drink after dinner!!

4 flights of stairs to room 28!! Can be a little noisy early evening, but its a popular place quitens down later on! Can't separate reading light from main bedside wall light????
