Onetangi Beach Apartments

The location was good but that was overridden by other problems! We managed to convince the manager to shift rooms to a better one, but the initial experience was not acceptable.

The two-bedroom unit was small, dingy and not welcoming. We realised the price we paid was way over the top and the only response we got was "you must have booked through a travel agent"! We woke up in the morning to find ants all over the kitchen. All the manager said was did you leave food out! There appeared to be no sympathy for the problem. We managed to convince the manager to shift rooms to a better one, but the initial experience was not acceptable and we won't be going there again!

It was so peaceful and slept so well. I absolutely love the location, straight off the bus outside and into the Motel then off to the beach and lunch and dinner at the restaurants, everything is a minute's walk away. I had a beautiful sunny afternoon in the courtyard. Listening to the Tui singing.

First time I had visited this Motel, I was pleasantly surprised, such a lovely apartment with an ocean view. I enjoyed the beachy vibe with people all around having fun.I had the best time. I slept so well, I felt so cosy. Wonderful.

2 nights for 3 adults. Very average upstairs unit, and very tired. The third bed was sofa bed and uncomfortable. Good location.

I wanted to express my heartfelt thanks for your incredible hospitality and warm smile during our stay. It's not often that we receive such a wonderful first impression from staff, and it truly made our visit special.

Onetangi Beach apartments is beautifully located on Onetangi Beach. It is conveniently close to the beach and there are cafes and restaurants nearby, and a supermarket, just at a few minutes walk. The apartment was spacious with 2 bedrooms and a deck to enjoy the view.

Building work was being done on some apartments and the noise of drilling and hammering etc was terrible. We couldn’t sit outside on the deck to relax and we couldn’t hear each other. Going inside to escape the noise was impossible as it was too hot. In the morning work started very early so we couldn’t relax and sleep in. Very disappointing situation. We were offered a discount of 10% as compensation for the inconvenience but now after 8 weeks of waiting the refund still has not arrived, hence this feedback.

Shower pressure low and temperamental

Very pleasant staff, very nice room, close to beach and eateries. Bus right outside door. The only complaint we had was that the large couple directly above us had very heavy footsteps which was very annoying.

Location was perfect. 1 minute walk to beach. 3 restaurants/bars in easy walking distance. Lovely receptionist.

Location right on the beautiful Onetangi Beach right where the bus from the ferry stops with restaurants and a great coffee and pastry shop. The staff are super friendly and went to a lot of trouble to get us into our unit early to get dressed for a wedding further along the beach. Clean and well appointed. Great fro an Aucklnad break or easy beach holiday. We'll be back! Thanks Ontetangi Beach Apartments
