Great location to the Schilthorn gondola…great food and drink and restaurant…beautiful view from balcony…small grocery down the street to get snack or dinner to enjoy in room or in a hike.

"5 star quality, service, location & food - amazing"

Honestly this was stunning! I am very surprised it is 3 star! The quality of the hotel is way above some of the others we stayed in the region. The wood and quality on the finishings in this hotel are incredible - Swiss perfection. Also, after searching the entire stretch of Murren village for a place to eat, and being very disappointed by Hotel Eidelweiss who had a great view but they are extremely expensive and wouldn’t let us sit and enjoy it, so we ended up back at Alepnruh restaurant and my word we were not disappointed. Quality food - felt like a Michelin star restaurant - apparently they had a Michelin chef a few years ago and it has left its mark on the team (it sounds like I’m making that up, but its true - and there is a unique desert created for the hotel - a must try). And to top it off was being able to sit at the balcony table looking out over the Alps - fantastic experience. The hotel is right next to the Schilthorn cable car. An incredible hotel, lovely staff, I look forward to the day when they advance to 4 star which can’t be far off.

"Understaffed hotel"

A hotel staffed with one inexperienced employee at the front office. The dinner employee was so stressed out that it stressed out the room of diners. Whoever owns the hotel expects it to run by itself.
