Maudlins House Hotel

This was my second visit the last being three years ago. I arrived at 01:10 in the morning to be greeted by a very nice young man who could not have been more helpfull. Whilst some areas of the hotel are a bit tired we are in a recession and the hotel was very clean and comfortable. The food was FANTASTIC probably the best breakfast I have ever had. I will certainly be back.

This hotel was very good value for money. All staff encountered were pleasant, friendly and helpful. We had booked one of the coachhouse rooms. It was a lovely, large room and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was substantial and there was a good variety. There were 'niggly' little problems with fixtures and fittings. Two of the tap fittings were loose and the handles kept falling off. The toilet seat was loose and kept wobbling about and the soap dispenser kept falling off the wall. These were small problems that could easily be rectified to make the guests stay a little more stress-free. The outside fencing could really do with a lick of paint. This small improvement would greatly enhance customers first impressions of the building. I would recommend this hotel for comfort and value for short stays.

Beautiful hotel with comfortable beds and chairs. Surroundings are "industrial" so not a great locale for exploring... but it is on the edge of town convenient to the motorway. My only complaint is that wireless broadband was only available in the public areas, not in the room. Parking was free and convenient, behind the hotel.

I stayed at the hotel 4th until the 7th August 2011, as I was attending the Gods kingdom convention of Jehovahs withness near by. The staff team were so kind and helpful nothing was to much trouble. My room was mostly clean,( 8 out of 10) my only disappointment was my bed sheets which had stains. Also the carpet by my bed had a recent unclean stain, but other than that my room was fine and I would stay there again. I have read reviews about the hotel being noisy I did hear the road a few times but nothing to disturb my sleep. Great little find, I would recommend it to anyone and I'd love to have the chance to stay there again.

We had a fabulous time staying here, highly recommend it. Terrific value for money, very convenient and a super breakfast.

Overall the stay at The Maudlins House Hotel was superb. We booked late and were booked for room only in the coach house but on arrival we received an upgrade without asking which was for a gorgeous family size room which also included breakfast for no extra cost. The room was lovely with big windows and the bathroom was beautifully clean with lovely beauty products. We also ate in the hotel the food was delicious with big portions. The only negative was the bar staff were under pressure with a hen party and forgot my drink order twice but again to compensate i received a complimentary drink for the inconvienience. Overall the stay was a lovely experience and I felt refreshed and relaxed even if it was only for one night the way hotel stays should be :-)
