Hampton Inn New Albany

The location was great and very easy to find. Having a restaurant next door was an added bonus after a long trip when one needs to stretch one's legs and don't need to travel to find one where you can dine.

Although the breakfast was freshly prepared and neatly set out, the items were all 'Ready Made". - in other words, items with preservatives - convenience foods. My companion has a health issue - Gluten Free (Celiac) and dairy intolerant. Other than fresh fruit, a hard-boiled egg, and apple juice, there was little she could choose from to eat. I am not suggesting a change to the breakfast options, but it would have been good to have one or two other options available. such as small quantities of non-dairy milk and a gluten free bread roll or bread slice. What a blessing those would have been and given extra points for the Hampton Inns chain. (Those with dietary health issues always get short changed and the worst deals).

Quiet in spite of interstate location. Friendly staff. Always clean. Close to all the cute shops & restaurants in the downtown area as well as the hospital and the funeral home.

Coffee maker in room was too far from wall outlet-had to move it to the desk so cord would reach an outlet. A bit pricey for a standard hotel room.

It was clean and comfortable

It was noisy. Both nights we stayed, the room directly above us kept us up at night. The first night we were woken up by the people having intimate relations so loud it woke us out of our sleep. The second night there were people stomping around in the room above us from 8pm until after 11pm and then started back up at 5am.
