"Clean rooms, feels safe, great location."

Great Motel 6! Super clean reception and welcoming staff. The rooms are in good condition, wifi is strong, and it seems like most guests are work or travel related (rather than long stay etc) - I am a solo female traveler, so this is important to me. Finally, the location is remarkable - excellent access to Carlsbad Caverns, and Guadalupe Mountains NP, as well as local conveniences like Walmart. There is a working refrigerator and microwave in the room, so you don't have to eat out all the time.

This isn't the motel's fault, but a neighbor does have a cockerel that likes to crow in the morning. I found it to be a nice local touch when waking up, but if you don't enjoy that then bring earplugs. Otherwise, this Motel 6 is a good one.

The heater worked really well

When we walked in there was a Roach crawling across the floor. The drains for the sink and bathtub drain so slow if you don't watch out you will overflow them. The pillows are plastic with no cushion.
