Maitlandfield House Hotel

The owners are doing an incredible job of updating and renovating the property! Breakfast was amazing every morning, and the staff were all fantastic. They are actively working to improve the space. The room was small, but very clean with a comfortable bed and small but nicely updated ensuite. We stayed for three nights. It’s a very quiet and comfortable place to be!

Good location. The staff is really friendly. Good choice of meals in restaurant. Nice Scottish breakfast in there. Hotel located in quiet town, just 25-30 min drive to Edinburgh. Classic room a bit smaller, but it's fine for two nights. Bathroom clean with some toiletries. If someone is looking for luxury book Balmoral hotel in Edinburgh :)

The staff were efficient, friendly and helpful, assisting with public transport enquires and offering suggestions for post dinner walks. The township of Haddington was equally wonderful.

Nice quiet Inn with lovely staff. Full Scottish breakfast included. Family room was a bit tight but worked. Surfaces were clean but baseboards and room corners could use a deep clean.

My stay was alright, pillows were terribly uncomfortable. The area was nice and quiet.Staff very helpful in finding me a taxi for the following morning.

Very nice hotel with nice breakfast options, an old building that has charm but does lack some modern facilities like USB charger and the TV is small and basic while the door key is old fashioned with a large key ring to carry. It's a nice quiet area and only 5 mins walk from the bus stop where buses can take as little as 45mins into Edinburgh. Overall very good value for money with plenty of space for parking on site, ideal if you're not planning to spend much time at the hotel but want a peaceful stay.

I stayed for one night whilst visiting family. The hotel is well located and just a few minutes walk from the centre of Haddington. The room was fine and spotlessly clean but hotel overall does feel a little tired. That said the warmth of the welcome was genuine. Breakfast was fresh and plenty of choice. I would have no hesitation in staying there again

Very historic

Professional, warm and friendly welcome by the man on reception. Ate in the restaurant which was very good value & excellent food. Very comfortable bed. Would definitely stay here again.
