Brisbane House Hotel

The hotel was beautiful but the room was freezing. The breakfast was amazing along with the staff. Would be good to be able to get something to eat when you returned back to hotel.

A cold room. Had to put our costs over us to keep warm

Absolutely stunning hotel, staff at reception were lovely and welcoming. Room was modern, clean and well furnished. Bathroom was also lovely and ring light mirror was a helpful touch.

Breakfast was a little slow, I had to ask three times for someone to take my order. I had eggs Benedict which was fairly mediocre at best. It was not overly busy in the room for breakfast, more than one person but the rest of the staff were having a meeting at a table and one girl running around serving everyone.

Excellent location, comfortable rooms, good breakfast, efficient staff.

No restaurant or bar. You could get a drink via room service, but bar wasn't staffed. Carpet was a bit grubby and bin hadn't been emptied when we arrived. Also room was very cold, had to ask for the heating to be turned on (which it was). Off again morning we left.

The staff were first class, particularly Lauren on reception. More of that later. Our breakfast was first class with a wide variety available. Our room was excellent, eventually, with lovely sea front views.

Our initial room, No. 206, was classified as a deluxe sea view double. It was very small with a good view of a neighbouring NHS car park. The sea view could be obtained by going about six or seven feet down a very narrow corridor, one person at a time, not enough room for two people at once. Personally I found it described as a sea view stretching a point. We called reception to make our feelings known and the previously mentioned Lauren sorted it out to our satisfaction by offering another room. Perhaps other guests checking in should check if it's 206

Great place for a wedding's downstairs. Lovely seaside location. But rooms are way overpriced, I had the sea facing Exec room. Two single beds pretending to make up a King bed. Old carpet. One roll of toilet paper. No available onsite meals or room service. Great marketing, poor delivery. Also the staff weren't exactly the most friendly, but perhaps I've been living in North America too long.

HOTEL CLOSURE Absolutely disgusted with this hotel. I received an email from them last night at 8pm, to tell me that the hotel would now be closed from Mondays to Wednesdays, until next year, which meant my booking in November for 3 nights, is now cancelled! No sorry, no empathy, nothing! I'm absolutely fuming. Are they in financial trouble? I think so! Well it doesn't surprise me if they are. The last time we stayed here, our room was dirty and the bin was full of empty wine bottles and snack paper. At over £200 per night, standards have definitely slipped, since new owners took

No lift and guest uses walker No restaurant so unable to have meals in hotel

Staff were lovely but the room was the most depressing I've ever been in it was at the back of the hotel with a frosted window we couldn't see anything when I opened the window to look out all I saw was a roof this was a gift from my son and his partner for my 70th birthday and I had to pay an extra £40 because it was a Saturday safe to say we won't be back
