The room is clean, old fashioned but good value of money. The landlord is also very helpful.

It said on booking.com breakfast included - but no option for that as it was over the road at a cafe, as a paying customer. The floor in our room was very slippy - like it had been polished - even in shoes we were slipping about.

Stayed for 3 nights over May Day weekend. Host was responsive and friendly, room was large and comfortable with a good en-suite with hot shower, as well as tea making facilities. Very enjoyable stay.

A very nice small guesthouse for an affordable price, the area is nice, very calm, at the same time one can easily get to the town centre either by bus or on foot, walking through a lovely park. There are a few cool pubs and cafes nearby where you can have your breakfast or great fish and chips (we favoured The Boathouse, ca 10min walk), and a shop right across the street. The owner of the place is nice, there is tea and coffee in the room, the stay was indeed pleasant, we can surely recommend!!

The shower was a bit capricious, especially last morning, when the water just disappeared while I was taking the shower, and then for quite some time there was only cold water left. But things like that can happen, altogether the stay was great.

Good breakfast near

A huge layer of dust and dirt on the floor, which remained there when I arrived and when I left. A cobweb in the shower. Lack of hygiene and cleanliness. Upon arrival, the first thing I did was to clean the surfaces from the dust ... Traces of crushed insects on the walls.
