Gran Hotel Pereira

I made 2 reservations in 2 differents cities and both of them were not right because I made the reservation for 4 people for one room with two beds and they came out to be for 2 people instead of 4 once I got to the hotel so I end paying more money then I was supposed to.

Nice location. Close to all government and business offices, plaza Bolivar, restaurants and mega bus.

Nice and roomy. However, rather outdated furniture.

the hotel has gone down in value, in my opinion...no room key available, shower water leaking onto floor, reception delaying departure for a missing bottle of water (hotel's mistake)...unfortunately Colombians are known for their distrust, and this hotel, which I had stayed at various times previously, was no exception.

Hotel double charge for tax, Expedia reservation taxes was already included in the price to stay in the hotel. Also at time of leaving the hotel the customer service desk charged in the credit card drinks that was already paid cash. No air condition room, clock radio does not work, no table lamps, not enough place to put make up/

The staff were friendly and this is a lovely, old-style hotel. Very well maintained, with several lounge areas that guests can use whenever they wish. Nice large room - large dining room. A comfortable stay.

We were very happy with our stay at the Gran Hotel Pereira. Our check-in went smoothly and I was quite relieved that the woman at the front desk spoke a little English and was very sweet and welcoming. The hotel is beautiful, clean and met our needs nicely. The complimentary hotel breakfast was very good and included fresh cooked eggs to order, various breads, fruit, cheese, coffee and a choice of various fruit juices. The overall service throughout our stay was very good although at times I struggled because my Spanish is a little rusty and some of the employees do not speak much English. Overall we had a very pleasant and comfortable stay at the Gran Hotel Pereira.

Always enjoy staying at a "Gran Hotel"! Friendly greeting as you enter the spacious lobby. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Daily breakfast similar but filling. Restaurant serves a very tasty Almuerzo. As in the majority of El Centro Hotels there is the issue of noise but it is the center of activity for the city!

Grand old historic hotel, very traditional...new elevator will help with the five stories! Overall a good esperience, good value for the money.
