Sheraton Brooklyn New York

The room was sizable even though some amenities were aged. However a big thanks to Xiao Ping for keeping the rooms clean and tidy! She is friendly and an asset to the team.

I know what to generally expect from a Sheraton—mid-range but clean and comfortable. This hotel was neither of those things. The room was dirty. Furniture was chipped, broken. There appeared to be blood on the bathroom wall. There was a scratched-up, banged-up mini-fridge just sitting on the floor. Dust covered every surface. Room was dark and dingy. During my single night stay, people were trapped in the elevator. Super depressing. I booked 5 nights but begged the front desk and Bonvoy customer service to check out after the first night but was denied. I spoke to Danny, the GM and he graciously allowed me to leave with paying for just the night I had to stay, although I feel like Sheraton should have paid me to stay in this dump

The beds are uncomfortable, but I wish that was all I could complain about. I awoke on day 3 of my stay to find that I had itchy bites in 3 different areas on my left arm. (see attached pictures) I alerted the staff and they moved me to another room. That next night, I got bitten on my right arm. I ended up cutting my work trip short and spent most of my last day there at a nearby laundromat, washing everything I brought with me. I was informed that the hotel wouldn't be able to launder my clothes for me, and that I'd need to do it on my own. (Cut to an image of me walking through Brooklyn with an enormous trash bag full of clothes & shoes over my shoulder). I communicated with hotel management about this issue, and because, after an "investigation" in which I'm told they hired an outside pest control expert, they couldn't find any signs of bed bugs, they couldn't accept that there was anything wrong with the two rooms I stayed in. (808 and 613) They were kind enough not to charge me for the last night of my booking, seeing as though I would be flying home early and wouldn't actually be staying there that night, but they declined to compensate me for anything else. If you are curious, I would NOT recommend staying at the Sheraton Brooklyn. The company I work for will no longer be sending anyone else to this hotel, either, which is disappointing because of its convenient location.

La ubicacion es muy muy buena, la habitación es aceptable, tiene un buen tamaño y la cama es cómoda. El baño es muy incomodo, el agua de la ducha salía fría y ademas mojaba todo el baño. Lo que no fue tan bueno era el lobby, ese primer día había una persona de calle dentro del hotel y nadie lo sacaba o le hacia nada, era bastante incomodo y hasta preocupante ya que no se evidenciaba mucha seguridad.

The cleaning staff were the frienliest faces I got there. Check in was fast, but rude. I have worked front desk and the young lady who checked me in di not even try to have the time time tell me about incidental charges.
