The best staff, resort, restaurants, entertainment, pools, beaches and bars that you could ever ask far. We had a blast and enjoyed every minute of our stay.

The Best Holiday Resort we have ever stayed in. Customer service was 11/10. So friendly always had a smile on their face and said hello. Food was impeccable. If your was a fussy eater you’d have a field day however if you enjoyed fine dining you’d also love it too. Great selection in the buffet along with the numerous restaurants on site. All pools were stunning, clean and a perfect temperature. Not too cold but cold enough to cool you right down. The most perfect holiday.

We just returned from our second stay at Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana, and once again it reminded us why we love this resort so much. From the moment we arrived, everything felt exceptional — the beautiful premises, the spotless and modern facilities, the great food, and above all, the incredible staff who truly make this place feel like home. The service throughout the resort was consistently warm, attentive, and genuine. Everyone went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and enjoying every moment. Several team members stood out and made our experience unforgettable. At the Preferred Pool (Drifter Pool Bar) and beach area, we were taken care of by an amazing crew: Obispo, Sebastian, Rosa, Samuel, Winter, and Vicente, who brought the most positive energy and uplifting vibes every day. A very special thank‑you to Argeny, who went above and beyond in every interaction — his kindness and dedication made a huge difference for us. Our butler, Alfredo, was also outstanding. He kept us informed of all activities, helped with reservations, arranged for better pillows, and checked in regularly to make sure everything was perfect. His attention to detail and genuine care were truly appreciated. At the main pool, Lawrence made sure we were always doing well and enjoying ourselves. His service was excellent. At the restaurants, Rafael Liriano and Marlon Jacobs elevated our dining experiences with their professionalism and warm hospitality. And at the Preferred Bar in the lobby, we were happy to see Julio Pio again. This is our second time meeting him, and he continues to impress with his great energy, constant smile, and the way he makes every drink feel special. Overall, we had an extraordinary experience once again. The staff at Secrets Royal Beach are kind, humble, and genuinely committed to making guests feel welcome. We will definitely be coming back and will continue recommending this resort to our friends and family.

We all had a great time, we got up every morning and went to the pool, ate breakfast, walk to the beach. I went to the fitness center; the worker encourages me to get the chlorophyll drink. he also mentions it will get rid of the belly fat. I wanted to go back and walk the tread mill some more, but time will not permit, i did when a little money 2 times when i went into the casino. I danced with the workers after watching the entertainment, I enjoyed the entertainment every night, took pictures with the Bogo group after they were done with the intertainment.

Our experience in February 2026 was extremely disappointing and, at times, deeply distressing. The most serious issue was theft. The day before our return flight the housekeeping staff stole an expensive and highly sentimental necklace. We had deliberately left it stored out of sight in our room, to avoid damaging it in the pool, and when we returned, it was gone. When we reported this to the hotel, security searched the room and questioned us in a way that strongly implied we had misplaced the item ourselves. The hotel conducted an investigation and confirmed that the only persons who entered our room that day was the housekeeping, but refuse to take any further action. Be very careful when completing their incident form — it includes a clause stating the hotel is not liable, effectively leaving you with no recourse. We were also misled about reporting the incident. A staff member named Genesis told us the police were unavailable at 8pm on a Friday night and advised us to return in the morning. When we went to concierge at 8am, we were then told that the police do not attend hotel callouts and that we would need to go to the station ourselves. It felt like a deliberate delay, knowing we were due to leave the next day and would not have enough time to file a report. To make matters worse, the hotel expected us to pay for taxis to and from the police station after their staff had stolen from us. We were also warned we might miss our flight if we pursued it, which ultimately prevented us from reporting the incident. The entire situation felt like a tactic to discourage us from involving the police. We were offered a refund for two nights of our stay (which we are still waiting to receive). Beyond this incident, there were numerous other issues: • Lapse and inconsistencies with hotel staff service, particularly concierge, throughout our stay; • Flies (dead and alive) on the food in the buffet restaurant; • Extremely slow food service in the grill restaurant; • Toiletries ran out on day 5 and was never replaced for the remainder of our stay; • Requested extra hangers three times and only received them on day 4; • Could hear the evening entertainment from both our hotel and Dreams, partner, hotel from 7pm onwards every night, and was awoken by loud banging noises every morning at 6:30am; • Room service plates were left outside room overnight despite being told they would be collected the same evening, a hygiene/pest concern; • WiFi was inconsistent and frequently dropped out across the hotel, no wifi at all on the beach; • Entertainment schedules would change last minute without notice, meaning we missed out on entertainment that we had deliberately not attended earlier in the week; • There were even safety concerns, with numerous tree branches at the quiet pool falling unexpectedly; • The hotel charge $20 per hour for late checkout • The hotel charge you $50 to rent a cabana bed for the day (which seems a rip off in itself), but also attempted to charge us despite not having used one the entire holiday. The pool situation was also frustrating. “Preferred” guests have access to three additional pools, yet still occupy the two available to standard guests. Despite rules against reserving sunbeds, all beds were taken by 8am daily. For us, the only positive part of our stay was Sheila at concierge, the staff at the pool, and staff at the romantic beach dinner, who seemed to be the few members of staff to show us care and consideration. Overall, this hotel is poorly managed, seemingly untrustworthy, and not worth the cost. It is advertised as 5* but is 3* at a push. We was hoping for a relaxing 10 days break and the experience is nothing but a bad memory.

This hotel is massive.you do have to get up early if you want a spot around the pool where the entertainment is but they have loads of other pools which don’t have issue.Its worth upgrading to the preferred club you just get looked after better especially when going to the 5 different restaurants you don’t have to wait for a table they seem to always have space.and breakfast in the beach side restaurant is so much better than the buffet.if you have food allergies it’s amazing gave me a card with my allergy and you just hand it over when ordering and sorted never was sick the whole holiday.Its right on the beach with soft white sand beautiful and preferred guests have own beach area with waiter service for drinks.rooms are big and the bed was huge with mini bar included ,air conditioning and cleaned everyday and turned down in the evening.you get a butler who will do anything to make your stay better really helpful would defo stay again.

Overall, Secrets Royal Beach was a great option for my husband and I who just wanted an easy getaway for the week. Sitting by the pool and beach was nice, it was easy enough to find seats and the music/entertainment wasn’t overwhelming. Servers came around regularly offering drinks, but if we didn’t want to wait bars were also close by with quick and friendly service. Tumblers are a must have and the staff had no issues filling them all the way up! There are enough food options around, as well as bars - the food was good overall, but could have been a little better. Also, it is quite a missed opportunity to include some local flair, the only Dominican food available was in a small section of the buffet. The à la carte dinner restaurant options were American, Mexican, French, Seafood and Japanese. We were unsure when booking but decided to not book a Preferred room. Fortunately, we really didn’t feel like we were missing anything. The bars and restaurants available to all guests were sufficient for plenty of diversity over our week-long stay. If you are staying longer I suppose you might enjoy the extra choices preferred offers. Booking through Costco was easy - the flights, resort, and resort transfers were all included. The hotel partners with Amstar for excursions but Destination Services via Costco offered better prices initially, however you don’t meet with them until the day after you arrive. We ended up doing Swim Horse, the Marinarium, and a Cultural Trip to Higuey - all were well worth it. The hotel also tries to sell you on a lot in the first couple hours of arrival (the preferred upgrade, an “information session” in exchange for a free massage, etc.), which was somewhat annoying. I would recommend staying here

Great place to spend a week. Friendly staff and amazing food. The rooms are very comfortable and the drinks in the Preferred areas are fantastic.
