Palace Inn - Baytown I-10

This may be completley petty but three pillows on a king sized bed...for two people is a bit underwhelming. Otherwise, it is what it is. Basic no frills accommodations with budget friendly prices.

Very friendly front desk. The room got super cold which is a plus. It was also very quiet at night which being so close to IH-10 was surprising.

Yeah, it was nasty. The kitchenette are was dirty, there was old unwrapped food in the fridge. The bathtub really needed cleaning and the floor was smear mopped and left my bare feet dirty. Burn holes in the bedding and someone lovingly carved "f*CK you" in the door and written other niceties in nail polish on other parts of the room. Had a very meth-head vibe to it. Sorry to say at 100.00 a night.

The room smells cigarette. we could not take the awful smell.

It was a last minute decision to stay at Palace Inn. I had already gotten a room on the other side of town, but plans got cancelled so I ended up booking a room here. The room smelled, bed wasn't comfortable and I wasn't sure if the sheets had even been washed. The bathroom was the worst. The towel rack was coming off the wall, the bathtub was filthy and the toilet seat was just about to come off. No carpet in the room and floors were dirty. Found dirty sheets and towels in the drawer of the dresser. And if that wasn't bad enough I found drug paraphernalia in the cabinet in the kitchen. It made me feel dirty just staying there. Don't think I'll be returning to the Palace Inn. It's as if no one took the time and effort to clean the room.
