Hotel Callecanes

Room was clean and comfortable.

Rated this lower than it really deserves because of the EV charger. We specifically chose this hotel because on booking.com it said it had an EV charger. We were told by the reception staff that it was "nothing to do with the hotel" and it turned out that it required an EVBOX account in order to use it. As a result we had to go out of our way to find a charger on the evening we arrived. Also, the road noise in the room was too much so that we had to sleep with the blind fully closed which led to it being a little stuffy.

Nice location , quiet and off the beaten path.

The staff made us feel unwelcome, it was almost as if we were bothering them by being there.

Nice ambience and vibe to the hotel. We only stayed one night, had a quick swim, and ate an early breakfast as we had to move on, but everything was really good. The family room we had was spacious and had everything needed.

Mooi hotel en zeer vriendelijk en erg behulpzaam personeel. Heerlijk gegeten, zowel ontbijt als diner.

The room was excellent with a very comfortable bed and a good shower. It was a real bonus to have a beautiful swimming pool. Excellent accommodation. Nice fresh fruit salad offered at breakfast. The property is very well maintained and in excellent condition. Very clean.

No fresh juices at breakfast. Fresh orange juice would have been a big plus. Directions to the hotel were signposted but Google Maps had trouble locating the address. The hotel is about 20km from Ypres where we went for dinner. The hotel has its own restaurant but you have to order ahead of time.
