Everything quiet out of the way but close to everything

Fire place and management

The hosts were very welcoming and hospitable. There was plenty of wood for our fireplace in the room. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast hamper was very generous. The verandah off the room was also a lovely spot for coffee or to read a book in the winter sun.

Marine and Alistair were wonderful hosts very kind and hospitable . The breakfast was fabulous and we loved the peaceful surroundings

Peaceful and friendly, the breakfast was perfect and fireplace topped off the cottage feel. Friendly owners made the stay very pleasant.

The room was rather stuffy and the fly screens had holes in them. I ended up getting lots of insect bites.

Our room smelt very musty and damp and that's rather disappointing for the price, surely the owners must have been able to smell this issue as well. We had a visitor who also noticed this same problem immediately upon entering the room, it was that bad and us leaving the doors open would not help. He thought it smelt like there had possibly been flooding under the floors?

Strong musty smell 24/7 in our room was not what we expected for this location. Something that should be dealt with by the property owners, there was an upstairs room we should have perhaps asked to move?
