"Stunning location, real value for money. Lots to do."

Everything. Bag a room with a balcony to sit over the river. Staff so friendly and helpful. Food great. Plenty of parking. Nature reserve with 50 meters and stunning walks.

"Friendly hotel in lovely river setting."

My husband and I have visited The Grove Ferry Inn on special occasions for about 10 years. It is always the same - beautiful setting on the river, very friendly and helpful staff, nice room, excellent breakfast. GF friendly.

I can't think of anything.

The scenery and beautiful room

The rudeness of staff, bedroom hadn’t been finished when we arrived, checking in took 25 minutes as the member of staff didn’t know what she was doing, the chef didn’t know what he was doing and extremely rude

"A surprise room upgrade made what was a good stay even better- will return again!"

Upon arrival, we was greeted by Saffron who was absolutely lovely and checked us in and showed us to our room. Due to the room we had selected when making the booking being unavailable (apparently because of the previous occupants), we had been upgraded to the honeymoon suite which was amazing- the room was spacious and the bed very comfortable, the balcony with views of the river was a welcome addition and I enjoyed sitting outside whilst having my morning coffee 😊 The breakfast we had was one of the best we’ve had anywhere we’ve stayed- everything was cooked perfectly, we thoroughly enjoyed it! The 11am checkout is generous too and allowed us to have a lay in, enjoy our breakfast very leisurely and still have time to freshen up before we checked out.

I have two minor criticisms- although the room itself was clean we noticed there was still rubbish in the bin from the previous guests (leaflets, receipts etc), again the bathroom itself was very clean however my wife noticed the bath plug hole had quite a lot of hair build up from a previous guest/s.

So friendly. We have bikes, can we leave them somewhere safe? No problem. Dog? no problem. He’s a bit muddy! No problem. Top breakfast

"Superb"

They accommodated our request to check in early and drop off our bags to change for an early wedding! Such friendly staff and a beautiful room with plenty of space for us four, very comfortable and a lovely powerful shower. The breakfast was delicious with lots of options. It’s also worth noting it’s a beautiful setting and the whole building is lovely

"The owner was so hjelpful and Sam an employee female was also excellent and so helpful."

Breakfast lovely dinner chicken in white wine sauce excellent.

Bathjroom door very stiff to get out of. Manager hopefully had it fixed.
