Sofisticata ma senza esagerare Servizio eccellente In particolare la signora Graziana nell’equipe colazione e bistrot e Marica, punta di diamante della spa. Gourmet all’altezza, un giardino mediterraneo da non perdere, una perla di charme come poche altre. Economico per la categoria.

A pretty hotel overlooking the sea with nice gardens in a series of small houses that apparently used to belong to fishermen. The communal areas and the bar/bistro overlooking the sea are lovely and the swimming pool is small but beautiful. However, they are positioning themselves as a 5* hotel which they most definitely are not.

Service levels are intrusive and rule-bound. Even though there was plenty of space, we were told we couldn't have drinks in the bar/bistro area because they were holding the tables for residents who might want to eat. And drinks were stupidly expensive - E18 for a Campari and soda! The bed is large and comfortable but otherwise there are few comforts. Rooms are very basic, almost monastic with plain white walls, cast iron bed, a few impractical items of antique wooden furniture and a TV the size of a small PC monitor high on the wall. No drinking water was provided. The bathroom was tiny, with no bidet, no ventilation apart from a little window with no mozzie net. No space around the basin so we had to put toiletries on the floor. There was no body lotion provided, the shower didn't work properly, the water ran brown and the pressure was low. The towels were old and tired but they did provide gowns and slippers. All for €300 a night. Breakfast was ludicrously expensive €25 for a really basic, waitress-served meal that wasn't as good as the inclusive breakfast buffets we'd had everywhere on the rest of our trip. €7 for a small latte. It's worth mentioning that quite a few of the superior rooms have the bed up a flight of stairs, possibly not ideal if you need the loo in the night. Room 32 has a lovely sunny terrace although no view.

L'arredamento è un mix bellissimo di pezzi antichi restaurati e dettagli moderni. Le tende delle camere in cotone di filo ricamato TOP! Cena fantastica! Il menù era squisito, ogni piatto una sorpresa positiva. Abbiamo apprezzato moltissimo la vasta scelta in cantina, con opzioni per tutti i gusti e portafogli. Il personale, giovane ma preparato.

La gestione della zona piscina non è stata all'altezza delle aspettative: in più occasioni non c'erano lettini disponibili. La mancanza di un servizio bar dedicato o di un punto di riferimento per le ordinazioni ha reso poco agevole usufruire pienamente dello spazio. È un aspetto che andrebbe rivisto per migliorare l'esperienza degli ospiti."

Servizio non professionale e personale maleducato. Non si sono accorti della ns presenza e hanno espresso giudizi personali sugli ospiti con termini volgari e di bassissimo livello . Pulizia carente , colazione disorganizzata e da due stelle . Servizio transfer molto disorganizzato e spesso a pagamento.

La bellezza della struttura è oltre l’immaginazione. È quel lusso discreto fondato su una profonda cultura sicula , una modernità mai stonata. Un tripudio di colori profumi e sapori. Lo staff immensamente gentile e attento; La SPA, un’oasi. Consigliatissima la cena al ristorante stellato. Un momento magico.

Unica pecca, ci hanno assegnato una stanza priva di bidet.

Beautiful hotel and situated on the side of small mountain top. Very nice people / staff. Hotel is well appointed and the food is excellent. Taxi drops you on the street and you wander for about 75 meters through a walled vicolo and enter into a small paradise. Would definitely come back. Old world meets new. Terrific.
