Overlook Lodge and Stone Cottages at Bear Mountain

A cabin in the woods just up the hill from a glorious glacial lake! Excellent value and convenience for a great and natural location. The rooms in the cabins are simple but modern hotel rooms, with a fridge and other modern conveniences. This is a hotel, not camping. Nothing luxurious, but very comfortable. We liked the fireplace lounge between the rooms, although we weren't sure whether there was a way to make a fire in the fireplace. The main lodge where you check in is especially beautiful and impressive.

The address provided to us was unclear. You actually have to go to the main building of the Bear Mountain Inn to check in. We didn't know that, so we wasted time driving to the cabin area and then back to the Inn and then the cabin again. We also wish you could see the lake from the cabin — even from the porch, you can't really see the lake through the trees. But this is a minor point, as the lake is a short walk away down the hill.

The staff was extremely polite, professional and dedicated no matter when I'd come to the front desk. Beautiful surroundings. The lodge is not that far even when walking to it, so save yourself the complaining. You're there to walk anyway lol. Will be back for sure.

Quiet cabin/room and lovely grounds around the lake; easy hiking in the area.

Tranquil surroundings

The cottage room was cozy and comfortable. The scenery was beautiful by the cottage. Very peaceful and relaxing.

The AC unit controller was in the common living room and not in each individual room.
