Sampaguita Suites Plaza Garcia

We enjoyed our stay in Sampaguita Suites, it is very close to tourist attractions like the Magellan's Cross and Basilica de Sto. Nino which is just across the street. The Cathedral is also just a block away and the Fort San Pedro is just a short walking distance. The Taboan Market is also few minutes away by taxi. Restaurants and fast food chains are also just within reach.

The room is modest but functional. Hot water, good Wi Fi. There is a snack bar where you can dine or enjoy Breakfast. The hotel is a little walk from the first ferry terminal. Next some sightseeing, market and shops. Did not like the view from the window on the trash. Many homeless and beggars around

I hope its just for me that happened during my stay...the TV is not working. I called for assistance but they did not bother to repair it. i did not pursue my complain because i'm leaving anyway the next day, very early morning. But at around 9pm the water from the ceiling is leaking with foul odor...that's the time i complained and demanded to change my room. anyway the front desk dutifully, adhere to my concern and we were transferred to room 506, this time everything is working.. my former room is 306. i just want to raise this problem with room 306: 1. the aurtomatic switch is not working (the one we insert the key) 2. the TV set is not working. no power. 3. the water is leaking from the ceiling with foul odor// better check this first before offering to customers // thanks and good day!

We booked a Family Executive Room. The space was big enough. There was cable tv. There was supposed to be wi-fi inside the room, they even gave us a password to use inside the room but there wasn't. There were only four outlets, 1 for the tv, one for the box, another for the ref. Since there were four of us, we had to unplug all three so we could take one each. It was a real bummr because we had other devices to charge. We tried to borrow an extension cord but there wasn't any available. The rest room was fine, though the toilet flush was not working on our 1st night so we asked them to fix it but when we got back from our Oslob day trip, we had to remind them again about it. They did fix it that 2nd night. The area was not very good, there were so many homeless people in the vicinity. I was not surprised though as it was near the port. Overall, the stay was ok. If you're looking for a comfortable and clean place to rest after a day's travel, if you can live without wifi, then this hotel is good enough for you.

They do not automatically clean your room, you have to put up the "Make the room" thing on the door knob.

Location is good, friendly staff, thank you for allowing us to check in early..
