Vogafjós Guesthouse

This is my 2nd time staying here and I still highly recommend it. The rooms are warm and comfortable (pillows are ok, I prefer thicker ones). The meals from their restaurant are fantastic and the staff is so welcoming. Can't wait for my 3rd visit.

The guesthouses were these really cute wooden cabins. We felt very close to the nature around us! We loved the food in the restaurant (had both breakfast and dinner). All the products are really fresh as is is a farm and they taste amazing!

Very snowy when we stsyed here. The room was cozy and the restaurant was great. We ate both dinner and then a delicious breakfast while overlooking some adorable cows.

We had a very large room with 4 beds for 2 people. The water temperature, water pressure, and space in the shower was amazing. The room was beautiful and recently updated. We ate at the restaurant and the food was amazing and fresh. I recommend making reservations. Breakfast had a decent amount of options. The ONLY thing that I would recommend is that they start breakfast earlier. 8 am is a late start for people who have hiking plans or long driving plans. Not to mention, the parking lot was full of most of the guests waiting for it to open.

Charming country farm cottages are clean, neat and warm. The restaurant is amazing as is the breakfast served. Having some more bathroom amenities would be nice since hiking or swimming locally requires bathing frequently.

Lovely site, friendly staff. Food was great.

Cabin was ok, not too fancy, but not too many choices in the area. Breakfast was a treat! Would have been nice to have a hand-held shower head. Tip for guests: the rooms are not near the reception so don't hurry to take out your luggage when you come to check-in

The facility was very clean. There is a top notch restaurant on site that offers both dinner and breakfast. Of course the breakfast was included with many choices and that was very nice! When coming to MyVatn, make sure you have a head-net to protect your face from the millions of pesky and extremely annoying little flies! You will be very glad you did.

The best thing about this guesthouse is the cows!! We loved being able to say hello to the calves next to the restaurant/reception. The rooms felt a bit dated, but were still comfortable and clean. We LOVED the breakfast (included) and dinner was pretty great too! The view from the restaurant is just lovely. We also found that this location was really close to a lot of great stops near Myvatn.
