It was quiet, peaceful and clean. Had everything we needed. Enjoyed it will come back.

Great place to stay

I made my reservation back several months ago for a Labor Day get together. I requested an ADA room as I use a walker and cannot navigate stairs very well. Mind you, a couple of weeks late I am schedule for a knee replacement. When I was checking my reservation a week before leaving, I found out it was changed and my ADA room was given away. No word, no communication, no nothing. I was told it was an upgrade and that I would really like the cabin. Mind you, I was by myself and really did not need a big cabin. They stated they were having problems getting business so they were renting out cabins as short-term rentals. I got to my cabin about 7 pm., after being called and asked when I would arrive. That was not a problem. The gentleman checking me in was very nice. He told me it was only a few steps and I should be able to navigate it. Nope, that was not the case. They were three steep steps, with a rail on on side. Having to navigate my rollator up the steps was very difficult. On top of that, I still had to get my luggage up the steps. It might be okay for some individuals, but being a handicapped individual it was not. As I walked in, I was met with a old stale musty scent. But that was ok, it was covered with some air freshener scent, not. It had a nice large kitchen and a dining room. That was nice, but I was unable to get ice out of the ice maker in the refrigerator. The kicker was the bedroom. The picture on the website showed a king/queen bed and a bunk bed. No, in the room was two queen/king beds. The door was so narrow that I was unable to fit my rollator through the door. And the bed was pretty high, with the one across the way even higher. You might need a step stool to navigate it. And the bathroom, not able to get my rollator through that door. I have a regular size rollator, but these doors are narrow. Down the dark hall was a door that I assumed was to the cabin next door. Guests were arguing and banging things and you could here all of it. Upon leaving I had to navigate the steps back down. Lifting a rollator up the stairs was difficult enough. Having to take one down was worse. I ended up letter loose of the rollator with it crashing down on the cement below. It was me or the rollator. Fortunately it was not harmed, but my thermos top broke. Not a very nice stay and more of a hassle then being able to relax.

Nice, but dated property. Bit disappointed that when we showed up for our late August stay, the pool was drained (and we had chosen this property in large part b/c it had the outdoor pool). Also, Wifi was so slow it was unusable (0.4 MBs). But great location on the main road and walkable to some things.

The property is very outdated!! Plus, there was ants. Usually when you stay somewhere you shouldn't have to clean to feel okay about sitting on a couch or whatever is there. Wouldn't stay again.

Quiet private room, comfortable bed, microwave and fridge, full tub. I slept very well here with the fresh air!
