The Canyon Suites at The Phoenician, Luxury Collection

Great resort they definitely go above and beyond to ensure you have an enjoyable experience!

I usually save my points to stay here once a year. As lifetime Titanium I have been treated very well with extra amenities in past years. I guess I got spoiled and this year the person checking me in really had no interest in interacting with me. She wasn’t rude but not like I had been welcomed previous years. There was no welcome at the little gatehouse which was a minor thing but a nice way to start a visit. They added the option to self park in the garage under the Canyon Suites. I prefer that but missed the interactions with the valets. The exception was the people working at breakfast. I had a few nice conversations with them. The breakfast is lovely and I enjoyed eating outside before the heat of the day started. I love that the pool is open 24 hours so I could have a sunrise swim.

This was my family and I's fourth or fifth stay at the Canyon Suites at The Phoenician. Every single time the service has been top notch. The staff remembers our names, gives a gift to my children, and always provides something a little extra, be it snacks with a free movie or a free Smores kit. The breakfast, while minimal is great. Without looking like a Homewood Suites or something, they provide you with high quality and well cut fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, and always a breakfast entree. The staff is the best I have encountered at any hotel in the states. The ONLY negative thing I had to say was we experienced ants at the pool at three different locations, even one time before we even had any food or drinks. I know we are in the middle of the desert right at the base of a mountain, but that has to be improved. The issue is not enough to lower the review, just something to be noted.

Amazing hospitality! The experience at the Phoenician Resort was top notch. Great restaurants and food service. Kevin (Manager if the Canyon Suites) is VERY welcoming and made sure the stay was the best. He’s so accommodating from recommendations to special welcome amenities sent to my Suite. All the team members that I interact with are friendly and personable. I will return. Thanks for being part of a great trip.

The hotel is lovely but the staff is what makes it a luxury property. Alexis at the concierge desk, Victor at the pool, and Don bartending at happy hour in the beautiful lobby made it the most relaxing 24 hours I’ve ever had at a hotel. I can’t wait to go back. The king room was very spacious and the loveseat on the balcony was such an excellent feature. TV in the bathroom if you want to watch a movie while you soak in the tub. The grounds are so beautiful; my only comment is that the pool really needed a good skim, but I saw the staff taking care of that as I was leaving today. The room service was fine, the complimentary breakfast buffet was better.

Staying at the Canyon Suites allowed us to experience the best of both worlds. It gave us the proximity to Old Town, downtown, & Phoenix that we wanted but also the quiet & relaxation that we needed. Though the Phoenician is also a wonderful property it is far too busy for what we wanted. The Canyon Suites are a nice resort within a resort. Upon arrival we received an upgrade to a King suite facing the majesty of Camelback. This suite was huge. I just wish the living room furniture was more comfortable. They have a great area with a large TV but the furniture is really hard. Thankfully the bed was super comfy. We really enjoyed the patio. It was a great spot to enjoy that first cup of coffee in the morning and listen to the birds. The bathroom was also very spacious & had ample towels & great Byredo products. The staff were friendly & helpful & took great care to try to learn our names. Too many staff to mention. Hopefully you'll get an opportunity to meet Buzz. Even the valets & bellhops were helpful & a great resource for info. The housekeeping staff takes great pride in what they do. There are a few areas I think the Canyon Suites could improve upon in addition to my gripe about furniture. They need more pool staff. Those poor folks are responsible for getting you set up, taking food & drink orders, & making their own cocktails. They really could use another set of hands to move chairs & umbrellas. I also think some of the umbrellas & chairs could be replaced & that the hot tub area could use some TLC. Also, their cabana rental prices are outrageous. I've had less expensive rentals in Monaco, Miami, & and the Caribbean. Lastly, would it kill the breakfast attendants to walk around with a carafe of coffee to see if anyone needs refills.

Perfect place to stay and enjoy. The rental spot has everything you need and nothing you don’t. It also has a very nice pool and club house and enough activities to feel like I’m welcome here and able to feel secure and happy. The Villas have extras like hair dryers, condiments, kitchen supplies washer and dryers and detergent. Feel so secure here!!!

Rooms are very nice. Super clean. We stayed at canyon sweets which is a private area off main hotel. Not as busy. Main hotel is also very nice. That is where larger pools are and main restaurants.

Definitely worth the stay. Nice balcony view. Spacious room, plenty of creature comforts for the price. And the staff was perfect! The free breakfast is down stairs in the main lobby and comes with every room. There is no in room message. You have to schedule that with the spa in advance. The hotel suggested scheduling your spa experience upwards of two weeks. So, heads up.

Hotel and staff are amazing. Room was clean. The concierge staff was extremely helpful and went over and above to help you with your needs and requests.
