Lovely property clean and comfortable

Our room was a good size, and the blade free fan was most welcome. The bed was really comfortable. Most of the staff were really welcoming and accommodating. The downstairs ladies bathroom smelled lovely which I think is a first in my experience of public(ish) toilets. The garden area was lovely to sit out socialise in, it would be perfect for lazy summer evenings.

The room was quite tired, there was mould in the bathroom, the shower was dirty, the shelf with the kettle on was warped, there was a huge crack down the wall and if you opened the window there was a really noisy vent. There was lots of "stuff" in the room that was all in odd places. The hot water tap was scaldingly hot. We were there for a wedding and our wedding breakfast food was a real disappointment, but the evening food delicious.

Location was great.

Very comfy and great sized room. Very quiet, near nice area of town and easy walk to different coffee shops and restaurants.

Good value for money, just a short walk from the city centre, complete with free parking. Just what we were looking for. Friendly, helpful staff throughout. Will certainly use again next year on our way back from Burnham Market horse trials Within walking distance of the Belgian monk too, hence staying 2 days instead of one!

To be hyper-critical only a couple of very slight niggles... One, because of the design of the toilet flush system and no soft-close either, the seat will not stand upright, this leads to it crashing down heavily, quickly and loudly mid-performance (for males.) Also the door knob to the bathroom is right up against the architraving and can bruise the back of the hand. quickest solution, possibly change from a knob to a handle instead?

Mini bar fridge did not work and ensuite door handle badly fitted in such a way you caught your finger in door frame

We didn’t have a walk in shower but had I realised I should have specified when I booked. Also our room had a lot of stairs and I’ve recently had surgery on my foot but again I hadn’t requested room without steps so that’s on me.

The location is good for easy access to the city centre.

The room decor needed a repaint and the light fittings in the bath room were broken and missing a bulb. The door into the room was very ill fitting and would not pass current fire door regulations. The dimmer light switch at the side of the bed was defective.
