The Georgian Townhouse

The room was very cosy and clean. The staff at the hotel were all really helpful and polite. I had dinner and breakfast and the food was excellent both times.

Everything was great.

Breakfast exceptional, dinner very good but not enough choice, room very well equipped but no instructions for gadgets, superb bed, but bathroom lacked shelf for own toiletries. No printed menu etc, limited coffee facility, no tourist information, mini bar well stocked but not necessary - no bottle opener. Good, large general bar area. Free parking. Large garden.

POD coffee machine unsuitable, with no sachet alternative. Other critiques as above.

Stayed in the Colonel's Retreat, a 2 bed apartment just over the road from the main hotel. Small kitchenette with coffee machine and a few pods. Beds enormous and very comfortable. Upstairs lounge with big TV (TV in the bedrooms too) and desk space plus little balcony. One beautifully-decorated bathroom with over-bath shower (not massively hot but was fine). Better value for money than getting 2 separate bedrooms. Shot walk over the flyover into the city centre, with lots of restaurants and cafes within reach. Didn't have breakfast at the hotel so can't comment on quality.

Requested a bath for 50th birthday. Had a beautiful room with free standing bath, lovely and clean, super facilities.

Lovely building with so much space inside and outside in the garden.

Not quite enough car parking spaces.

Nous avons déjà effectué plusieurs séjours dans cet hôtel. Nous y apprécions beaucoup la gentillesse et l'efficacité du personnel. La situation est parfaite : tout près du centre ville de Norwich à pied. L'hôtel bénéficie d'un magnifique et très agréable jardin, d'un restaurant de qualité et d'un bar très sympathique. Le must : un parking ! le cadre est superbe et décoré avec goût. Nous tenons aussi à remercier très chaleureusement la direction : nous avons eu un souci d'eau chaude dans notre chambre et la réponse commerciale apportée a été si généreuse que nous en sommes encore très gênés. Beautiful room, lovely ambiance, clean and quiet. Love the honesty bar with many local treats.

Bar downstairs excellent

Cushions and throws needed renewed . Mattress lumpy. No DND sign for door. Wasn’t sure if we got room cleaned every day and clean towels.
