Rude staff. Noisy outside roof banging all night, kept us awake all night. Told staff and they didnt care. Moved us to new room at 9.30pm on 2nd day, by the time we moved rooms and had food we went to sleep at 2.30am and the heater didnt work. TV didnt work. Was freezing all night. Got no sleep again. Told staff in morning and they said you should have got a heater from another room if you were cold at 2.30am in the dark. Who is going to go hunting for a heater at 2.30am and see which rooms are unlocked. Waiting for manager to contact us, still waiting.. this was 2 weeks ago. Bad place and rude staff.

The view was amazing , it was so close to the starting point of the boat riide

The toilet was smelling pee, they did not clean the bathroom and the door was not locking from outside . It was overpriced for the conditions it was in

Room had a view of the lake and is convenient for Doubtful Sound cruise.

Rooms need updating, decoration and deep cleaning. Bathroom and shower small. TV functionality poor. Kitchen facilities poor - no caffetieres and very little cutlery etc. Bedspread was old and stained. Doors and surfaces were badly marked, worn and damaged. Windows need cleaning. Initially given a twin room when a double was requested. Room change was arranged fortunately. Bar/cafe closed.

The place seemed quite dilapidated and run-down, it felt more like emergency social housing accommodation than a holiday destination. For the money I would have expected something in better repair.

The views are amazing but was not enough to distract from the dirty room. Our toilet had dried urine on it from previous guest/guests, the water pot was filthy, the microwave was so gross, under the bathroom sink hadn't been washed in months. It's not a fancy room but that isn't any problem for me but the filthy was unacceptable!! We spoke to another family on the way out that felt the same way.

The location having read a lot of bad reviews I was dubious about booking here but found I t clean and updated does not look good from the outside but if you expect the Ritz it is not but is clean and comfortable
