having breakfast outdoors on the terrace, the breakfast staff, housekeeping.

oh boy. how much room and time do i have? we did not get a room with a nice balcony - the outdoor space was tiny and filled with an air conditioner generating very hot air; furniture would never have fit there. it took about 30 hours to switch rooms, and then it took 3 (!) requests 😠 for someone to come up and actually unlock that balcony so we could use it. the guy brought a second form to sign absolving management of responsibility for us having that balcony. good grief. we basically had an issue needing resolving nearly daily; so annoying. the language barrier was not as big of a problem as the clueless twit who manned the front desk checking us in and then most subsequent days. she had a terrible time figuring out how to resolve the most minor issue - yikes. her incompetence created a big problem for us and ended up adding $100+ to the bill because she couldn’t follow instructions not to convert the colombian pesos into u.s. dollars. i am not sure i will ever get the vacant expression on her face out of my head.

It was amazing. Front desk were super nice, friendly and helpful. Especially Luisa! The kitchen staff as well. Very attentive. Location was great! A walk across to the mall. And right next to a 24hr super market.
